I'll have to check the code there. More than likely I'm not doing my packet-waiter updates correctly since the restructure. I can work this all out though :)

This is good though patrick, I've got the data I need for now.

Is there an error log I can send you?
  • FlakeWed Feb 20, 2019 3:40 am
Only what would've been in the window
  • FlakeWed Feb 20, 2019 3:40 am
I'll code in for the next release dumping output to a log file
  • FlakeWed Feb 20, 2019 3:40 am
That will make life much easier
  • FlakeWed Feb 20, 2019 3:41 am
I should be able to have something together tonight for tomorrow though

The text information in the console window moves up and I can't scroll back to it.
  • FlakeWed Feb 20, 2019 3:46 am
Yeah that's because it clears out every 10,000 lines
  • FlakeWed Feb 20, 2019 3:46 am
Under the hood right now, there are a LOT of debug messages coming through for the connection side of things. (Every time ONE packet comes in, like 30 lines are added.)
  • FlakeWed Feb 20, 2019 3:46 am
That'll be cleared in next update tonight.

I just flew the X-02 and cleared most of the ground objects around San Francisco and landed on the carrier. I'm liking this joystick, I couldn't have done that using the keyboard.

You got a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro right? How do you find the center spring? I think it's a bit tight...
  • NeoconWed Feb 20, 2019 3:58 am
Way too stiff, but that either it's getting lighter or I'm getting stronger as I use it. If I wasn't afraid I would need warranty service, I would probably take the spring out.
  • FlakeWed Feb 20, 2019 3:59 am
    Why not both
  • FlakeWed Feb 20, 2019 3:59 am
I modified mine by removing the spring and adding rubber bands instead - I don't recommend
  • FlakeWed Feb 20, 2019 4:00 am
You might consider getting a thinner wire gauge and making your own replacement spring though.

I find the stick is a "pew pew pew air combat danger zone!!1!1!!!" stick rather then a delicate precision formation stick, which is what I want personally.

I saw where somebody took zip ties to the stock spring and used them to compress the spring down. I haven't really looked closely into it yet, but when the warranty runs out so does time for the spring. haha

Alright, new build is ready. It's probably not going to be great, but it's hopefully a step in the right direction.
  • NeoconWed Feb 20, 2019 3:20 pm
I'll try it out tonight, about six hours from now.
  • FlakeWed Feb 20, 2019 11:16 pm
Got a debug file for me pat?
  • NeoconWed Feb 20, 2019 11:17 pm
Would you look at that? Just look at it!
  • FlakeWed Feb 20, 2019 11:29 pm
    Thank you :)

Well shit - I just got a graduate offer and accepted it. Great salary too. Stoked.

    Excelent news!

I was actually a little cocky - I asked for a relatively high starting salary for a graduate. I was expecting them to decline for now because of that, but instead they accepted. I was happy to just finish my degree tbh. Instead I probably won't graduate until next year. Oh well. :)
