I bought a new phone and that used up my GPU fund for this month, but prices are still dropping, so maybe I can get a good deal in July. I'm still in pursuit of 75 fps in YSF to match my monitor.
From what I've read the headphone jacks' hardware takes up space that can be used for a larger battery with more mAH. Not sure if that's actually the case but that popped up a number of times in my search for my new phone just recently.
I've heard the same. Haven't seen what the insides of newer phones look like so I can't make a judgement call on if their stated reason is valid/true or not.
