Re: .Dat Variables

I was just looking at http://www.heinkel.jp/next releases and everyone's raving about getting their hands on those FLARES. It never occurred to me (until a second ago) that the WPNSHAPE command can be used to CHANGE THE FLARE SHAPE AND COLOUR!! I've never liked the red whirly thing, but assumed it ...

Re: Current Projects

Next problem... Getting the SMOKECOL variable to work. It isn't working for me, somehow... Just start up YSFlight, then got o any plane's loadout. Experiment out with the RGB colors to find the number you want. Otherwise search Google for RGB codes; that's what I did with the edited .dat A-10. For ...

Re: .Dat Variables

Guys I'm aware this is an old topic, and I shouldn't be replying in here. However, I did make a new discovery. The CTLLDGEA, CTLBRAKE, CTLSPOIL, CTLTHROT , and CTLIFLAP actually doesn't mean: does it have?. It actually sets the default when you use that aircraft. So for example, a CTLBRAKE TRUE , CT...

Re: What is the difference.

Not trying to be mean and pick on people, but: I think the reason why there is no aiming system is because the bombs fall directly below where you dropped them. Thus, you don't need to aim it, just fly over the target and drop them (and hope they hit). It actually goes ahead quite a bit far, dependi...

Re: Aircraft you spotted today

Finnair A330 takes off, followed by Thai B777-300ER. Later saw Cathay Pacific 747 land, shortly then an ATR-72 used by Bangkok Airways made one of a harsh landing (bounced a bit). Lucky to live next to the airport

Been in YSFHQ for a year now, but for YS I think at least 3 years. Can't exactly remember, but first download was still 2007 version :O

Re: Current Projects

By the way guys, is it just with me that every plane I tried to repaint with in Blender turns out as crap? I mean, imagine an AH-64that the gunner's head goes out of the cockpit when turret is transversed? http://www.mediafire.com/download/jqwqfibcqkby75a/%5BUPDATED%5D_RPFS_AH-64D%2C_XF-35B%2C_%26_S...

Oh also how about auto-throttle and altitude bug? It will certainly help the airliners in long haul flights. Also, some damage affect so that e.g. your plane's hit by bullets it's performance deteriorate?

Wow! Great resources. Speaking of which, how do we create/modify the HUD or Instrumental Panel positions? Like the one in the stock Concorde

Re: Weather in your area 2013

Thailand is seriously hot right now, reaching up to 33°C or higher on some days. Not only that, the air is VERY humid, so 5 minutes of walking under the sun would almost literally guarantee you sweat. Well, on some occasions there are rains, but it's such a massive downpour you won't enjoy it :P

I find it a great idea. This can especially help with the airliners going on in YS, and to a lesser extend military waypoints....Love it though

Re: Aircraft DAT Weapon Model Reference

Just one thing I'm curious though; in CHF's P-1s, there was an attempt to ACTUALLY link the weapon skins to the other files. Here is a quick look: WPNSHAPE B250 STATIC user/chf/weapons/GBU39Bs.srf WPNSHAPE B250 FLYING user/chf/weapons/GBU39B.srf WPNSHAPE B500 STATIC user/chf/weapons/MK82.srf WPNSHAP...

Re: Need help with missiles

I would agree that the AIM-9X is one of the best for close-in dogfight, but I disagreee on the arguments for the AIM-120. If you are on the good position behind the enemy, and think that you can always maintain that, fire the AIM-120 first. If you keep on "lasing" the target, it would flare at least...

Re: Weapon Request: HARM or Shrike missle

I apologize if this is not the correct forum to request either of these missles. I have played the air strike in the initial load and the air strike 4 add on and thought it would be a bit more intersting if one of you clever people could create either of these two anti-radar missles. Put a couple o...
