Re: New things from Soji

Too many programmers are thinking they can just release an incomplete software and then release updates to fix errors.  It is utterly wrong. I can't roll my eyes hard enough at the irony of his statement. I had two paragraphs about my thoughts on the MAX crashes and even Soji's attitude but then I...

Re: Team up build a new simulator?

So in regards to the whole post (which i'm not going to nitpick even if some things could've been worded differently) building a whole new sim to replace YS would be something of a waste of time and resources. There's no way Soji would give his blessing towards a new team using assets from YS toward...

Re: New things from Soji

Current trend of releasing pre-mature and updating later attitude is toxic. The current trend of software development is quite deplorable. That's not what I learned. People may call me outdated. But, if releasing a crap pre-mature software is the trend, I proudly stay outdated. Pot calling the kett...

Re: Mudskipper EDFX

Oh hey! This is actually quite a nice little design. Looking through the DNM i'm very impressed. Everything is clean and tidy. The model looks rather detailed for its small size. I haven't popped it into YS yet but i'll edit the post when I take it for a spin.

Good job!

Particle rendering support in OpenGL 1.1 and Direct3D9 executables.
Massively and automatically tested add-ons. I hope the ones stopped working now works again.
Testing must not be too great if the D3D executable won't run.

YS is dead
My heart bleeds red
Soji is a stooge
Who practices subterfuge
And yet here we are
Sitting at the bar
YSflight is dead

Re: The best and worst flight sim

I've used X-Plane 10 for about a year now Well, I guess X-Plane 10 is good. I actually meant X-Plane 11. That one sucks. Also, some of the aircraft models are garbage. There's really no difference between X-Plane and FSX, as far as I can tell. Both are quite realistic. Yeah that's fair. On the airc...

Re: The best and worst flight sim

Adding another least favourite flight simulator: X-Plane. The desktop version. I kinda do like the mobile version, despite it's limitations and microtransactions, but the desktop version really sucks. Terrain is garbage, ATC doesn't work very well, and there's almost no freeware available. It also ...
