Air Show - Kirtland AFB, Albuquerque NM 6/4 6/5

Heyo, I saw a billboard for this the other day. http://www.kirtland.af.mil/library/airshow.asp Airshow at the Kirtland AFB June 4th and 5th If anyone is within reach of ABQ this might be worthwhile. Among other things that will be there: The Thunderbirds Some civilian aerobatics (Pitts S1 (edit S2, ...

There's a nifty Saba Island floating around. Also, I've heard of a KIX but haven't found it

[AIRCRAFT]Van's RV-4

huh, didn't notice that one. I started out with the gac e-300 for reference because it's about the same dimensions, gears and cockpit are only about 10cm off, I guess I missed that one. That plane is jacked up. Insane roll rate, 1.2 prop efficiency. The RV-4 obeys the laws of thermodynamics.

[AIRCRAFT]Van's RV-4

Glad you all like it :) When I was looking for small, nifty, GA planes, and came accross the Van's planes and fell in love. Now I just need a job that pays well enought for flight lessons, a plane, and a healthy supply of aeronautical tape (or whatever they use to hold these things together). Flake:...

[AIRCRAFT]Van's RV-4

Here's another kit plane. I'm pretty pleased with the instrument panel solution. They don't look so bad if we say it's a glass cockpit :) https://sites.google.com/site/justindonthomasprogramming/RV4_1.jpg https://sites.google.com/site/justindonthomasprogramming/RV4_2.jpg https://sites.google.com/sit...

trim indicator

Thanks, Guess I should start making planes that use the default panel if I want a trim indicator :) Yeah, I tried TRIM____, I was sad.

trim indicator

Does anyone know the .ist name for the trim indicator? The only planes I can find that use one are the ones that use the default panel and don't have an .ist. Or better yet, where I can find the parameter names?

[AIRCRAFT] Sonex

A Sonex homebuilt kit plane. It's a little overly peppy and starts just a little bit off the ground. Here it is flying around Arizona. Not toooooo far from me. https://sites.google.com/site/justindonthomasprogramming/SonexCap.jpg Git u one! https://sites.google.com/site/justindonthomasprogramming/So...

Sitting on an eclipse right now, need to make it's own dat, collider and cockpit. Looks like the colors were lost in translation, I don't mind those polys though.

Master Race: A story of enlightenment

I played some EVE myself, mining with CAS, an NPC corp with a great little community attached. I had to quit that for the same reasons, no money, no time, but I did love that game. I grew up on the PC myself, and didn't get into consoles heavily until I met my wife, who introduced me to the joys of ...

Hey all, working on this. A Sonex hombuilt plane. Still needs a propeller, gears, and moving parts.

PolyCounts and model structure

Awesome, thanks for the help. Low poly's definitely not a problem, I like my triangles. I'd hack down the count and flat shade everything if I had my druthers (sadly, doesn't seem to be the style around here). It's got nothing to do with the fact that I haven't had the latest and greatest in computi...

PolyCounts and model structure

Hey all, I'm new here. I've got a bit of spare time in between semesters and thought I'd put together a plane or two. I was wondering; are the .dnm imports to blender reasonably representative of what the blender model should look like? As far as things like polycount and scale? Also, if the .dnm im...
