Rules on Using a Model from Other Sources?

I'm thinking of using a model from War Thunder (videogame) as the basis for a YSFlight project.
What are the rules regarding the release of the result?
Is there a threshold of modifications that I must pass for it to be "legal" on the forum without permission from the original company?

Re: The tradition of Soviet-Chinese round Trainers

It looks like the Yak-11 is based on the Yak-3 or Yak-9, very cool!

Blender 2.48a UI is Washed Out

I'm aware that this is not a Blender forum, but seeing as we use older Blender versions often I feel this is appropriate. I recently got back into modelling for this sim using the YS Paint Kit, which uses Blender 2.48a. On my Surface laptop its UI is properly colored, but when I open this on my PC i...

Re: Controller setup

Assuming OS is Windows, you can check what axis you want to be throttle. 1. Type "joystick" into the desktop search bar and it should pull up "set up USB game controller". 2. From the list of controllers that appears choose the one you want 3. Press "Properties" 4. Here you should be able to see the...

Re: What are you listening to right now?

I hate to break it to you-all, but I listen to some pretty hard stuff... One may call it "Screamo", but uHh aCkCHooaLlY it's Post-Hardcore. This band is at the core of my CD collection alongside Alice in Chains and My Chemical Romance (It's not a phase, Mom!) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QDS1BorP...

Re: Thought of the day.

think about this: no one says I'm on the car or I'm on the store It seems that one is "in" something that they control (their own car, their own location) as opposed to being "on" something that is out of their control (A rollercoaster, bus, etc.) What most clearly expresses this to me is how I wou...

[AIRCRAFT] Rutan Long-EZ

I am proud (sort-of) to release my first scratch model - a Rutan Long-EZ homebuilt aircraft.

Note that the nosegear extends with the "Open Bomb Bay" function.

My commonly-used nickname is Pipes, and the only time I post to social media is to gripe about something that is bothering me.

Re: visual error

I'm having this exact issue. I'm beginning to noodle around in Blender thanks to all the fantastic resources provided on this site, but I have managed to mess something up here. I repainted a stock F15DJ; I have provided a .dnm and .blend for you to hopefully inspect. I am very grateful to any who p...

Font size not changing

I want to change the font size from 12 pixels to 16, but when I do so in "Config" nothing happens. I've also gone into the files and changed FONTHEIGHT from 12 to 16 with no result. What should I do to fix this?
