Re: Your Desktop (HARDWARE EDITION!)

That's a nice computer specs and setup. Did you build the desk yourself?

The negative consequence of keeping your computer on your desk is that even a quiet system is easy to hear roaring under load.

Everybody: The installer is pointless.
Captain YS: I removed the installer.
Everybody: Where is the installer?

Re: Trying to find the initial setup or installation files.

Yeah, you don't want the newest version. 2015 is the last truly "stable" version.

If you are looking for the location of the config files and settings, they are automatically created by YSF in the Documents folder.

Re: Screencaps (Unedited)

We had a fun flight on YSCAS. Turbofan, Decaff, and I, took off from Haneda and flew to Honolulu for a medium-long flight. We were joined by me in a second plane from French Frigate Shoals, and then intercepted by Greenhorn. Then we all landed around the same time at HNL to taxi for this group pictu...

Using something called "blender" to take something and grind it into smaller bits? You don't say.

Re: Decaff's Garage

Random Elevation Grid Tip:
Large elevation girds = bad. Basically, at least in OGL2, elevation grids are not drawn at the same distances as map objects (the colored stuff on the ground).

Re: [ALPHA]OpenYS 2.0

Yes, EN-US. Yes, I copy/pasted the YS Directory location from the windows explorer address bar, which seems to have been the problem. It was that good-old / vs \ issue that occurs from time to time. I copy/pasted the directory location from the old OYS settings editor GUI and it seems to work fine. ...

Re: [ALPHA]OpenYS 2.0

We have three entries. Which ones need to be 7915? Server.ListeningPorts.TCP 7914 Server.ListeningPorts.UDP 7965 Server.ProxyServer.DestinationPort 7915 I changed all three to 7915. When I tried logging in on from my own computer (and the same install that OYS2.0 points to), I got a message saying "...

Have you experimented with changing affinity (selecting particular cores) in the task manager?

Thought for the day: What if everybody learns to code, and there is no longer a market for coders because everybody can code?

I'd be more likely to mine coal.

Re: This new livery is underwhelming.

The old one looks like something I would carve into a plane in gepolyx. The new one looks like something made in Blender. I'm not seeing any reason for them to feel shame.

Watch the maps used on the server list. You must have those maps to join the servers. ;)

Re: Thought of the day.

I wrote warm but meant cool. Even watering the ground is a problem because it splashes on the leaves. Half of my jalapeño plants died just from the water we poured on the root ball as we put them in the ground.

Re: Thought of the day.

Our electric company, which of course has zero competition, does not take payments by debit or credit card. It's cash or check only unless you pay online, which has an additional "convenience fee" added. If I water my garden on a summer evening when it's cool, the plants wilt like they've been spray...

The front panel of the machine opens and Tigershark steps out.

I step into the machine and the front panel closes behind me.
