Re: Weather in your area 2022

It came a flood here in NWTN this morning. A literal flood. Water was up everywhere, but not across the main roads. It was raining hard and fast, though, so traffic was moving slow (when it was behind me, at least, cause I drove slow).

EDIT from the next day: Currently freezing rain and sleet.

Re: Weather in your area 2022

We also had mid-60s on Tuesday and 50s into Wednesday. Starting during the night, it got colder (low 30s) and started raining ice this morning, which has coated everything as the temperature has dropped into the 20s. The result is widespread power outages ranging from an hour at my house to several ...

Re: Do I HAVE to use Blender to model/paint aircraft?

I've painted models and made new models and have never used Blender except for a couple of times when I exported models. I have always used the Legacy tools , along with Windows Notepad. These are all tools that are over a decade old at the newest, and they run fine on a core2duo with integrated gra...

Re: Weather in your area 2022

Been off school 3 days this week (M,T,F) for snow. We got 4-5 inches of snow Sunday night into Monday, and an additional 3 or so Thursday night/Friday morning. We got about that much snow here in NWTN starting Thursday morning, and it snowed most of the day Thursday. It stayed well below freezing u...

Weather in your area 2022

New Year, new weather Last week the temperatures in NWTN were warm, in the 60s-70s F by the end of the week. A mess of strong storms passed through late Friday night. My new weather alert radio announced a suspected tornado passing north of town, but I am pretty sure it remained a funnel cloud and d...

Re: Weather in your area 2021

My Internet went down this morning, so I'm on my phone. I heard today that the town hardware store's sign was found about 30 miles away in Kentucky. School is closed tomorrow.

It's been cooler and sunny today. Good VFR weather for the small aircraft flying over the dage, I guess.

Re: Weather in your area 2021

There was a "Quad-state" tornado that started in Arkansas, ran through the bootheel of Missouri, the northwest corner of Tennessee, and into Kentucky that took out Mayfield. A seperate tornado came through Gibson, Weakley, and Henry counties in northwest Tennessee. The tornado that hit my town went ...

Re: Weather in your area 2021

Update I'm on my phone. The power is out. Tornados were all around, but we are fine in our neighborhood. I'm not sure what damage is around my area. I know Mayfield, KY was hit hard. Second update Our power is back on. I'm starting to see pictures from town and they are not good. A tornado went righ...

Re: Weather in your area 2021

We're currently waiting for a line of storms to come through my area. It sounds like it could be bad. Tornado watches and warnings are already being produced. I deflated my inflatable decorations to keep the wind from carrying them away. A few days ago it was really cold, today it was in the 70s. Th...

Re: Active Airport ATC Session | London Heathrow, U.K | Dec. 4, 2021

NatComAir got a bad review from our Very Important Passenger: "My flight this afternoon from Cardiff to London was among the harshest rides in an aircraft I have ever had. The pilot seemed to think my case of all-natural peanut butter was in need of being shaken, when I prefer it to be gently stirre...

Re: Weather in your area 2021

Luckily, no casualties have been reported. That's good to hear. Yesterday in northwest TN, it was actually a cool day. Mid 70s in the late afternoon. It got warmer today in the sunshine with little or no wind. The forecast shows mid 80s tomorrow, but rain on Friday will cool things down into the 60s.

I kept getting the message that I did not have permission. I checked and it was because my work g-suite account does not have permission to view the download (it also blocks Google News completely). When I switched to my personal gmail account, it works.

I got a screenshot of the memorial group flight to remember Gunny. yscas 20210730.png Several of the GA aircraft addons I worked on over the years were either inspired or requested by Gunny, especially the Piper Seneca pack that includes several fictional tail numbers with GNY or JAC in them because...

I just checked my map rotation page and the link for the UK map under today's date goes to the Welsh Addons Hangar Pack topic you linked to, which goes to the same Google doc you linked to.
