Re: Weather In Your Area 2019

Weather is more or less typical of January around here. Had a high of 53F today, and very strong south winds. Tomorrow, winds will stay quite breezy out of the south but then turn to a northerly direction after a cold front passage and be just as gusty. The rest of the week we will have highs around...

Re: Weather In Your Area 2019

A relatively active pattern continues here, more rain coming tomorrow. Can't complain though, things can easily go from surplus moisture to drought in this part of the world. Temps are at or slightly above average.

Re: Your Desktop (HARDWARE EDITION!)

Best wishes for your health in the New Year Gunny, and although I'm no good when it comes to putting a computer together (software guy talking here) we have members like Vic Viper and others who know their beeswax when it comes to stuff like this. I've learned a thing or two just by reading their po...

Re: Aviation Photos/Videos

Former CEO and founder of Southwest Airlines, Herb Kelleher, passed away last week. I got this video in my "suggested" videos on Youtube and being a fan of Southwest Airlines (and having read quite a bit about the guy himself), I wasted no time in checking it out. Keep in mind, this is from 1989, bu...

MediaFire has been doing that the past year or so at times. Not everytime, but on occasion it will forward you to an "interesting" site. If I suspect a file may have unwanted stuff, I do a quick scan on it with Malwarebytes and Microsoft Security Center before I install it.

[British accent]Friday Night Flights was a jolly good time last evening. Even managed a spot o' tea![/British accent]. Ok, well I did not actually have tea but one can imagine right? :P. First, decaff and I flew to LHR "From Paris". If you don't know what I'm referring to, I'll leave it to you as a ...

Re: Weather In Your Area 2019

So we got pretty much everything here. Precip began as rain last night, then transitioned to freezing rain and sleet of which we got about 0.3 inches. Precip continued as sleet/freezing rain mixing in with snow during the day, then became all snow this evening. South side of the metro has anywhere f...

The last Friday Night Flights of 2018! I started from Petropavlosk enroute to LAX, but had to re-launch the flight from HNL due to technical difficulties :P. Hornet and Patrick joined me for some flying fun later into the flight as well.

Re: Screencaps (Unedited)

A bit late but this is during last week's Friday Night Flights. Daishi, decaff and I parked at the terminal after a flight from MLA while acf taxiies out to RWY 04 for some circuits around MXA.

Me turning on final for RWY 04 with decaff on short final. Note that this is a zoomed-in shot so I was not that close (about 12 miles out).

I flew the Global 747-400 from MLA along with Daishi (Pan Am 707-300 Intercontinental), and decaff (Stellar Express CS 100). acf42's on his way out to RWY 04. In the background of course is the Mandiola skyline and Chateau Hills, with the business park in the foreground.

Version 4 of the WeatherSTAR 4000 Emulator was released today. I installed it and ran it for the first time, looks great and is easier to configure. Of course I decided to take a SS! So far we've had average or slightly above average temps for December. No complaints here! Expecting 1.5-2 inches of rain on Wednesday, quite unusual for December, but we'll take it.

Really cool tune from David Becker Tribune. Another Weather Channel "Local on the 8s" classic.

That's quite a unique livery! Very cool. A relic of the pre-Euro-white days no doubt.

CMI Extended with the NCA A320 gets half the frame rate I get in the 2015 version, both using OGL2. :?
Did you try it in OGL1?

And are you sure this is actually "fine"?
