Re: Thought of the day.

As much as modern dentistry has come along, the tooth extraction process will probably always be high up there on the discomfort level. Not as in pain, but as in process. Kudos to my dentist though, did a great job.

Now then, where's the ice cream again...?

Re: What Grinds My Gears

What are its flaws? Design flaws that caused wing cracking, engine that exploded in-flight, and now that the 787 and 350 have caught on (not to mention the just-launched 777X) for being more fuel-efficient, it's an unofficially "Emirates only" aircraft. When an aircraft manufacturer knows better wh...

Re: Wild Airports of the World

Forgot to mention, I think K2W included Courchevel in his "Alps" map for YSFS 2015 and newer versions. We also have Princess Juliana and St. Barths as part of the St. Maarten map by Taiwan, Kai Tak Airport also by Taiwan as part of the Hong Kong map and someone made a Gibraltar map a while back. As ...

Re: Wild Airports of the World

Taskforce 58 has made an exact copy of that airport but he called the island "Taca Island" instead of Saba. It is based entirely on the real-world island and airport though, you can find it in his map pack.

Great flight with Welshy and decaff from ORD to UIN (O'Hare-Quincy). Parked at UIN after landing.

Re: Screencaps (Unedited)

Cool shots! Couldn't make it to FNF, got home late after picking up dinner on the way back and then just decided to relax with some aviation videos on Youtube while I ate :). I'll fly either tonight or tomorrow night though.

Re: Screencaps (Unedited)

That sure was a heck of a lot fun, and great job on the 744 repaints Pat :). Better turnout than I expected, made it all the more interesting, kept me on my toes at HNL.

Ok no worries Pat. We'll go with OYS. Just a friendly suggestion, re-boot the server about 10 minutes or so before the event starts at 1:00 CST.

Also, first post has been edited to reflect the latest change (to OYS).

Re: Nov. 12 | 747 U.S. send-off | SFO-HNL

I'll try to hop by after my Japanese school ending at 11am. BTW, how long does the flight take? I've flown this route several times and it shouldn't take more than a couple hours. The max it's taken is about 2 1/2 but that was in the 767 I think. If anyone needs to leave the server early, I'll give...

Re: Weather in your area 2017

The past week and a half or so has been a temperature roller coaster and this will continue for the next several days as well. High temps for five days beginning today: 79F, 80F, 65F, 55F, 49F. The 49F comes with rain, which is always welcome especially this time of year.

Re: Weather in your area 2017

So after tornadoes, hail and all that other stuff that comes with a severe weather event, we had some very nice weather. Of course we're still transitioning to winter so the first freeze was just around the corner, and it will be realized this Saturday morning (lows in the low 30s, upper 20s). Highs...
