Re: RIP: YSFlight veteran J.A. "Gunny" Correia III (1952-2021)

We'll do another remembrance/honor flight for Gunny for this week's FNF/SMF. Map is Tennessee, plenty of GA fields around for the GA aircraft we'll fly.

Some way back playback from Funktelligence. This track used to play TWC all the time for Local on the 8s.

Totally digging that Western Global MD-11F, and looking forward to flying the Atlas Air BDSF. But excellent job on all of these as always, good stuff!

Re: Weather in your area 2022

Spring has definitely sprung in the Plains states, and we know what that means. Had a bunch of tornadoes and hail yesterday in southern OK and central TX. Unfortunately some of them caused damage in southern OK. Of note were tornadoes that caused damage in Round Rock, TX and other parts of the Austi...

Re: Weather in your area 2022

Another week, another mid-week freezer bag ... of mixed precipitation. About to get mostly sleet with some freezing rain here; some sleet and snow to our north; more of freezing rain to our east. Hopefully no one there loses electricity since ice totals are expected to be on the higher side. The col...

Re: Weather in your area 2022

Hope you get your power back on soon. Yep we remember the arctic plunge of 2021 quite well also, 8 days of temps at or below 20F. Car pileups. Rolling blackouts. No thanks.

Re: Weather in your area 2022

Getting severe storms late tonight into early tomorrow morning, followed by cold temps and gusty northerly winds. Not usual for this time of year but also not unheard of. One thing we could do without though is hail. I think we had enough last year .

Re: Weather in your area 2022

^ I was wondering about that Pat. No stranger here when it comes to ice storms (those are a Mother Nature specialty in these parts). Good to see it was only an hour at your place, no electricity in cold weather = no good. Worst storm for us was back in Dec. '07. Two to three rounds of freezing rain ...

Re: Weather in your area 2022

On Tuesday the high was in the mid 60s, then we got the expected arctic blast. After a very brief period of a freezing rain/sleet mix yesterday afternoon, we started getting snow and it fell through this evening; still expecting one last round overnight. 6 inches and counting in our area; about 8 a ...

Re: Weather in your area 2022

Thanks for starting the new thread Patrick :). The last thing you guys need is more severe weather, glad to see that funnel cloud did not do much. This weekend we got our first cold blast in quite some time; December was a pretty warm month with highs on many days at 60F or above (had some 80F days ...

One of the warmest Christmas temps in these parts in some time. This is making some people a bit unhappy but no complaints here. https://i.imgur.com/cAONoFc.png https://i.imgur.com/cRaNFrl.png https://i.imgur.com/ELK2Fbg.png https://i.imgur.com/5nqcfs4.png https://i.imgur.com/hpeQbPK.png

Re: Weather in your area 2021

Yeah that's nuts. With the advanced warnings we have now fairly sure the toll will be nowhere near as high as the Tri-State but still plenty bad.

Re: Weather in your area 2021

Yeah, same, was a bit concerned with the weather headed your way. Glad you're safe there Pat. Those were some nasty storms last night. You mentioned a tornado went through town last night, hope everyone's ok. I saw the photos and video of Mayfield, KY., that was really bad. The tornado that hit that...

Re: Weather in your area 2021

Quite the "Indian Summer" in the middle of meteorological winter this week. Highs in the mid-upper 70s tomorow and Friday. No complaints from this person :). https://i.imgur.com/vXojLmk.png https://i.imgur.com/lljIiM7.png https://i.imgur.com/0RW9dBW.png https://i.imgur.com/7jdSIyr.png
