Re: [Linux] Game segfault with stack smashing detected

I run into those all the time if I use the linux native binaries. Honestly, just use the windows executables through Wine for the time being. Maybe someone from the YSCEDC will be able to fix the issue at some point in the future. You could make an issue on their issue tracker for the time being, tr...

Re: YSFHQ.com 4.0 - Alpha Release

The drop-down navigation menu is a bit unresponsive, probably because of the video on the page lagging the whole page down. Maybe hide the video inside something or link it away from the page? (Tip: Changing it to a link to http://www.youtube.com/... should trigger the Android Intents and on iOS ope...

Re: Project Website for VA

If anyone needs help with setting up an Ubuntu YS server, just send me a PM. Linux is really not that hard to set up, but a command line interface scares a lot of people off. If you can get a linux host for half the price, why not?

Re: Windows Live Messenger to close in March 2013

I'd suggest using Gtalk. It has besides instant messaging also got video- and audiocalling features. Since virtually every human connected to internet already has a google-account, why not use the heck out of it? I suggest installing the Gtalk client for Windows. You can easily add Gmail-addresses a...

Re: Problems loading dnm files linux.

You could, but I think it will take so much time to do that, that it will not be worth it. (I am not good with grep though, if you can do some magic, feel free to.) I'd advise to boot from something like a livecd or usb-linux variant and use a few of your HDD-gigs to add a fat32 partition. I additio...

Re: Problems loading dnm files linux.

GAC is a pack that uses links to other files from WITHIN the .dnm itself, to save space. Unfortunately it is very hard to fix the capitalization issues in .dnm-files, because of their size. The only thing I can advise you to do is: 1) Create a FAT32 partition on your hard-drive and run YS from there...
