Re: The best and worst flight sim

The problem with opening source is some people like to run off without purpose with it. But if you have a clear goal and vision, and fork it rather than edit on the master, I don't see much problem. This is precicely why my OpenYS library is open source - just clone from the master and see what you ...

Re: [POLL]The end of YSFHQ Elections?

Looks like this is a go, so there'll be big changes in the coming weeks.

Yeah I was hoping for more discussion too but I think mostly everyone was ready and expecting this.

Re: Staff Elections: Semester 2, 2018 [MASTER THREAD]

Pat, Please believe me when I saw "We hear you". We have been giving this considerable thought over the past 6 months. Please keep an eye out for an official statement on the matter soon. The candidates and community are motioning for a removal of the election system, and we've had to be quite cauti...

Re: Time to throw in the towel.

Bump - Withdrawing this. After a few days of doing all the bitch work with minimal training all the while being told "We can't invest the cost to train you", I have decided culturally I do not want to be at the firm. I withdrew from the position before mid-day today. I'll get a lot more career enjoy...

Re: Time to throw in the towel.

Having been through the medical system a lot lately, I wish I did medicine. Instead I get to get square eyes by staring at excel, myob and xero all day.

Oh well, bills don't pay themselves. :?

Power to you. Do you have long until graduation?

Time to throw in the towel.

EDIT: Ignore this b/s.I'm staying after all. I don't think it's much secret that I haven't been playing much YS over the past 2 years. I've mostly been busy with academics but besides that, my life's interests have changed. I still enjoy aviation wherever I can get into it, but for the most part, my...

This is actually pretty good for Australia in general. The problem though is that I live in share accommodation and the router just drops me repeatedly, without warning, for up to hours on end.
