Re: I'm pulling the plug on the Hangar

The hosting is $18 per month and the domain registration is $50 per year (Canadian). The domain is paid through May 2024, but the site hosting will be done next month. I don't mind if someone wants to take over the ysflight.ca domain to keep it ysflight related, instead of letting some domain squatt...

I'm pulling the plug on the Hangar

After many years of leaving it dormant but still keeping it up, I've decided to pull the plug on my website www.ysflight.ca . I haven't touched YSflight in years, though I still occasionally look around the forum to see what is up (glad to hear Soji is making it open source). Maybe someday in the fu...

Re: taskforce 58 site broke, now what?

Hey guys! See what happens when I go away for a long time. My hosting company change something so now my poorly slapped together main page to my site is broken (it was just a simple .php). If you are looking for the downloads you can still grab the download page directly: http://ysflight.ca/download...

Re: Current Projects

I did something that tf58 did not wanted to do. This aircraft is ar234c. I didn't include the C version is because in real life it only went as far as a few prototype airframes with no engines, and I only include actual operational variants in DiF. But hey, good for you on making this, and the othe...

Re: You miss a bird?

Another aircraft I miss was the Tu-16 Badger. The Indonesian Air Force had around 26 of this aircraft along with the Indonesian Navy in the 1960s. These aircraft was also used in Operation Trikora to take back West Papua from the Netherlands in 1961 and the Indonesia-Malaysia confrontation in 1963....

Re: Compass alignment of new runways!

And sometimes runway numbers are way off from actual heading for practical reasons. Here in Toronto, the Lester B. Pearson international airport (CYYZ) used to have two east-west runways - 6R/24L on the south side of the field, and 6L/24R on the north side of the field. About 12 years ago they added...

Re: Reverse's Workshop

First, name your parts logically. Very important tip right there. Ask yourself: "if I stop working on this and come back a year later, will I still be able to figure out what part is for what purpose?" If your answer is no, then you should rename your parts to something more obvious. Just...

and in YS there is an open hole where the cockpit is when viewed from above The canopy should be a separate srf model from your fuselage. Make sure in the DNM you put the canopy (and any other transparent parts) at the bottom of the listing to help the YSF gfx engine render it properly.(*) In gener...

Re: Reverse's Workshop

Transparency value ranges from 0-255. At max value of 255 it becomes invisible. For canopies a good starting value is 200 if you are not certain what to use.

[PACK] Down In Flames

After many, many months of on-and-off (mostly off ) working on upgrading this project, I finally got nearly every model (*) upgraded. They now feature transparent propeller motion blurs, transparent canopy with black cockpits, and all have custom weapons and drop tank models appropriate to the...
