Re: Decaff's Garage

Flew it in hawaii with no fps issues as far as I could tell. I have a bad graphics card, so that's really saying something. ;)

Replacing default ground objects

Is there a way to replace the purple and white striped tower with something else, a terminal perhaps? If so, where is the dnm stored so i can replace it?

Re: YSChat (YSC)

http://www.2shared.com/file/7qgMUNE7/yschat.html YSF, or your computer, may have an error if the text wont display correctly while flying. YSC wont fix that, but it can be used as a substitute. Use the link to download it and run, type the server IP into the appropriate box and choose a username. Y...

Re: YSChat (YSC)

The links no longer work (503). Also, do you need these files for the client also? I have a problem that makes it impossible for my client to display text if certain types of aircraft lights are in my viewport (including the CVW171 carrier objects), and I was wondering if it would be possible to rea...

Re: Arduino to control flaps

OK, bump...

Could i do it with this library?

http://arduino.cc/en/Reference/Firmata

EDIT: OK, I decided against doing it with an arduino. My keyboard has a key for calculator, a back button, a volume button, and a delete button. Can I use these as keystrokes for YSFlight?

Re: Arduino to control flaps

So there isnt a way to just get the computer to think the arduino is extra joystick buttons, without extra computer software?

Re: Arduino to control flaps

I believe I know what you mean... A while back I used an Xbox 360 controller for control, and another game controller(that only had buttons) for various things like landing gear, lights, etc.. So yea, its possible... First, look up on Google how to add hardware for your OS. Then for your YSF settin...

Arduino to control flaps

Hi,

Don't know if this is the right place to post, but...

OK, what I want is for the computer to see my arduino uno as a joystick with no axis... like joystick buttons. Is this possible? has anyone tried it?

Thanks :)

Re: Will You Be Upgrading To Windows 8?

I use Ubuntu (OK, whatever, call me a geek) so no. However, this guy makes a very good argument: As I have said before, Win8 is gonna fail hard. Why? Because it's designed for the tablet and smartphone world. Android and iOS are already entrenched there; anything else that isn't amazingly better wil...

Any high-quality tankers?

Hi, I was just wondering if there were any high-quality tankers in a pack somewhere. I have only been able to find high-quality KC-130's.

What I mean by high-quality is transparent windows, and a nice looking cockpit.

I would appreciate it if someone could point me to one.

Thanks :)
