Re: Flanker Squadron Skin

Barracuz, please don't use the term, "japo", "jap", or any other derogatory term. The word you're looking for is "Japanese".

Re: YSAirServices Now hiring Cargo and Commercial Pilots

All the best to you. May I suggest you get to know the members here, and let us get to know you first before getting all enthusiastic about another VA?
Your only other post here has been to revive a year+ old topic.
Slow down, bud. Become a member of the community, not just a member of the forum.

Re: Current Projects

Looks like it's just a degree, maybe 1.25, offset. Heck, as low-tech as I've become, print out a pic ad use a protractor, lol. It looks like the easiest way to judge angle might be the difference in angle between the prop disks. Also, progress on my SJ-100. Pretty much ready to be adopted. https://w...

Re: Current Projects

I screwed up the Condor a bit. The outer engines don't angle out at all but are parallel to the inner engines. I make lots of little mistakes like that. Dunno if Patrick caught that and fixed it tho.

Re: Flanker Squadron Skin

I was just emailing Welnio yesterday because I didn't know if he was still active on the forums. He replied in short order. He's a pretty flexible guy, and good to work with. If you do end up talking to him, give him a link to this topic. He may still say no, but you're at least going about this the...

Re: Flanker Squadron Skin

I did a tonne of work on the packs, but I'm sure it's obvious to you I wasn't involved in this Flanker, or this issue would be resolved already, right? If Welnio says yes, or can't be contacted, my experience would say that our Fur-baby here has made every reasonable effort to not step on others' to...

Re: Flanker Squadron Skin

If so, it's unfortunately uncredited. Welnio didn't do much repainting. He liked originals.

Re: Flanker Squadron Skin

I was wondering that too, but the Flanker isn't on the readme's list of no-permission models. Welnio may very well agree to let it be repainted.

Re: Flanker Squadron Skin

Easily fixed since the Readme says who did the 241st pack, right?
Email or PM this guy.

Re: Flanker Squadron Skin

Really I haven't seen the 241st Flanker, so I've no idea. If it's exactly the same pattern as you're wanting, but just in different colours, then yah, you should be good to go.
You'd do very well to obtain permission first though.

Re: Flanker Squadron Skin

Addons in YS are not skinned. Instead, the polygons are individually edited and painted in the pattern and colour desired. That is why the appearance of YS addons will always be sharper than any game that employs skins. Ergo, what you're requesting isn't necessarily a simple task, but potentially a ...

Aww, Gunny, bud. That's heartbreaking, no pun intended.
Maybe you could try LSA?
I'm working with a friend to build a Velocity XL-RG we bought used, and to save money on the engine, we're getting a Subaru boxer from a wrecker's, lol.

Re: Why not fly General Aviation?

Kind of in the being of GA, YSTK had a member named Arnie, who co-founded one of the first YS civil airlines. Anyway, his fave plane was a Mitsubishi MU-2, but there was only ever the default YS Flight version available. Every time I worked on my model for YS, I haven't forgotten Arnie's love of thi...
