[SCENERY] Warbirds over Wanaka Airshow

Warbirds over Wanaka Airshow http://i.imgur.com/rNqGXGM.png Well, here it is. This is a map of Wanaka Airport and the surrounding mountainous area. Wanaka is a popular ski and summer resort town in the lower South Island of New Zealand and the nearby domestic airport is the site of the famous bienn...

Re: Random questions about anything NEAR and IN the realm of YSFlight

Hello everyone, I've noticed a difference in how DirectX and OpenGL render large elevation grids. The top image is DirectX and the lower OpenGL 2. directx.png opengl.png When your POV is at an acute angle to horizontal, OpenGL appears to make the elev. grid in front of any lower faces disappear, inc...

Re: OpenGL vs. DirectX YSFlight?

Thanks for everyone's replies so far! I hope this gets as many people filling out the poll as possible. Is this for Wanaka map development purposes? I am keen to optimise maps for usage by as many people as possible: currently I am in a situation where DirectX users may be at a moderate disadvantage...

OpenGL vs. DirectX YSFlight?

OK, so I've been curious for a while as to the approximate distribution of people using DirectX vs. OpenGL versions of YS. I would really appreciate it if everyone could fill out the above poll. Oh, and I really can't give a reason for this thread, apart from personal satisfaction and science. :P

Those prop sounds... where can I download this?
Also, how are you getting the view to move around like that? Is it a form of head tracking?

Very nice video, BTW... :)

Second above post... The only time I've ever heard of these is as ekranoplans - I believe the USSR used them as the equivalent of massive marine troop carriers (ever heard of the Caspian Sea Monster?).
A pretty fascinating piece of aviation history right there.

Re: Random questions about anything NEAR and IN the realm of YSFlight

how is it inserted/implemented? what is its use? If you view the guideline in 3D, you can see there is a green line leading out from a large arrow next to the ILS ground object. The green line is the glide path that the ILS 'projects' for landing and the arrow is where you should touch down when fo...

Re: Random questions about anything NEAR and IN the realm of YSFlight

Number 3 is solved by clicking View -> Draw -> Draw ILS Guide Line. That will toggle the visibility of the guideline.

I have no clue about the others... :?

If it helps, the air_moa.lst file appears to be referencing a file at 'user/Major/T6/null.srf' that isn't there. There also isn't any file by the name of 'null.srf' in the Moa Airways user folder either.
