[LINUX][TUTORIAL] Converting paths and LST files to be Unix File System Compatible

A well known issue in YSFlight is that certain addons don't have the same case used between LST files and the path of the individual SRFs, DNMs, etc. so I've compiled two ways to work around this. The first, simplest way is to run YSFlight from a non-Unix file system such as VFAT, ExFAT, FAT32, or N...

Re: Instrument Pannel is always Dark when HUD is off

I know it sounds like a silly recommendation but most of us still use 2015 with the aerobatics and some civvy guys still using 2012. Although due to the netcode they use they are also the most reliable and least buggy. I'd recommend trying them out as well to see as to which you personally prefer

Re: New things from Soji

Considering the fact that he's using OpenGL2 I also have questions regarding where the hell he has been for the last 16 years since it was released. It took him almost a decade to support it, by which time 4.x had come out. His complaining about Vulkan, considering what I've mentioned above seems un...

Re: [BOOK] Evolution of the Red Arrows — illustrated history of all the colour schemes and making variations (1964-2014)

No the Yellowjack's aircraft were painted Red at the amalgamation of all RAF Aerobatic Teams to purely the Royal Air Force Aerobatics Team, they were yet to be named the Red Arrows. The Red part came from the fact that red aircraft are easier to spot against the sky (the RAF trialled many colours, i...

Re: [BOOK] Evolution of the Red Arrows — illustrated history of all the colour schemes and making variations (1964-2014)

That top Gnat is a Yellowjack not a Red Arrow. Whilst commonly misconceived that they became the Reds this is incorrect, they were completely dispanded and replaced by the Reds.....

[REPAINT CONTEST] Military (Winter 2019-20)

31/01/1990 Admiral General Aladeen has requested a new paint job to be adopted for the Republic of Wadiya Air Force's MiG-21 Fleet. The aircraft will be used in frontline combat service with the Air Force and will need to include an appropriate desert camouflage scheme. The exact colour scheme for ...

Re: Anybody has active contact with Soji?

Yeah asking for a patch for a 7yo version and expecting it to be done is just setting yourself up to disappointed. Bug fixes will only be made to new versions and not old, deprecated ones. Say if MS found a Win 8 problem now they ain't gonna fix it unless you pay them to. Considering YS is a free ga...

Can I repaint this? I think it's the only 777X in YSFlight atm.
I would DM Able Flyer if I were you as it's his model. This is just a repaint, hence why Able is credited for the model

Also viewtopic.php?style=5&t=76&start=1980 but PM Najmi before touching that one

Re: Is it possible to add helmet design in the pilot models inside the cockpit?

Yes, just edit the model of the pilot used

EDIT: Feel free to use the brilliant pilot model done by Dan for my previous squadron as a starting point here, just ensure that if released you credit both 323rd and Dan in credits (possibly also Birdfarm but I'm unsure on that one)

Re: Multiplayer Guide

Your server rules state the following... "Combat etiquette: If engaging in dogfighting, make sure all parties agree beforehand. """ I take that to mean unprovoked attack on a bomber is against your rules. I was at 50,000 on a bombing approach in the B-2. He started out "white", saw me, respawned "g...

... . Does it mean that there no requirements to credit original author? Also, what we can do if later some user can't notify you OR there would be no way to contact with you? (theoretically) As for me, "CC-BY" or "CC-BY-SA" would be the best license for YSFlight addons: https://creativecommons.org...
