Re: Sera's Cafe Quiz Show: October Edition

I do contest this point though, mainly due to what an "integrated weapons system for automated missile delivery" is exactly. A literal interpretation would be that the aircraft could launch a missile without input from the pilot, which as far as I know, is not available on any aircraft, the closest ...

False.

Before this post, TPBM didn't know that tea making facilities are required on all British armoured vehicles (including tanks).

Re: Sera's Cafe Quiz Show: October Edition

Wait why is Pheonix being banned, he hasn't posted anything but a valid guess, unless a second post of his has been deleted. Are we aloud a second guess btw? I may have an idea for another RAF fighter that could fit the bill due to modification (the Javelin was built from the ground up as a missile ...

Lovely song choice Zeppelin, I like how all the words are safe for work ;) Watching Holy Flying Circus, a fantasy re-imagining of the controversy surrounding the release of The Life of Brian and was just reminded of Monty Python songs. I'll avoid the debate, as while interesting, is just infuriating...

Re: Current Projects

Been doing a bit more work on the fuselage, this time just a skeletal rendition, till I forgot about writing this post halfway through and decided to have a mess about with making a full mesh from the skeletal form. And it's pretty damn ugly so far, but never mind, can sort it out another time. Also...

Re: Current Projects

Can you guess what it is yet?

I barely know how blender works, but I'm following THIS tutorial and it seems to be going ok so far. It's not going to be the most amazing model ever, but it is something that i don't think has been made in YS yet.

Re: [Blender] scripts to import/export .SRF .DNM .FLD .YFS

Just to make sure, do you need to download Python 2.6 or 2.67 for these scripts to work?

:EDIT::

Never mind, got it sorted.

For future reference it's 2.6 you go for, the one that is a ready built exe file.

Canadair Cl-84 Dynavert

Was searching for pictures of 771 Squadron earlier and found a modelling forum post with different paint schemes of this aircraft. Looks to be an interesting and highly advanced aircraft for the time and was wondering if anyone wanted to have a go. Information on the Dynavert Theoretical colour sche...

Folks = Parents. I you're quite young Hawk if your parents are dictating what can and can't go on the computer. It's a fair enough reason for not being able to get a start at learning how to mod. If you can, try and download the software at school and put it on a memory stick. That way you could pra...

Good for the UK, but I always feel a bit for SAAB, they;ve designed some excellent aircraft but never have much luck exporting them.

Re: Gentleman, start your hair growth!

I'm told it tickles the thighs. Surely that is the only reason for growing a moustache, minus aptly names months of course. Just so everyone knows, if you already have facial hair, then you must have a full shave on October 31st, from then on, only shaping is allowed. Also, it would be a shame to s...
