Re: Your Internet Speed

Somehow I feel this site does not give a proper representation of what your actual download/upload speeds are. For example, I tried this test with a wireless connection, and a wired connection. The site claimed that there was no change, but when I torrent'ed an Ubuntu CD, my downloading speed increa...

Re: [Indev_0.1.2]Orb: YSFlight Proxy Server Script

A proxy server is essentially a gatekeeper. It receives input, alters it, and sends the result out. So for example when you connect to a server, you connect to the proxy, which sends all the info to the actual YSFlight server. The server sends it to the proxy, which will then send the info out to th...

I've flown on this map! It looks awesome! A good size enemy base, and AAA/SAM clusters make this map a real challenge! Great job!

...Is it possible that the shaking comes from distance from the 0,0,0 point of the .fld? I wouldn't be too surprised if that is (part of) the problem. Maybe that would have something to do with floating point number inaccuracy then. This behavior is common among many programs/games. (Minecraft Far ...

Yes you can. You can set certain vertices to be "bright". This makes them visible, no matter what the light level is.

37 FPS at a screen resolution of 1680x1050, powered by a Geforce 6600, graphics clock 300 MHz. When I say this graphics card series was released in 2004/2005, I will leave the rest up to you ;)

Re: Martin-Dutchie's Blender Hangar

It has been a while since I touched this map for the last time. I have decided that PNMV colors are much better than my ones. These are as of now implemented in this scenery. I have also done some progress on a 2500 m runway with taxiways. This will probably be the base for almost half of all the ai...

I am impressed! This is going to be one hell of a map! I love this one badly, and the frame-rates are pretty good here! Definitely waiting for this!

Re: Zak's paint shop

Hey Zak, a subtle suggestion about the colors, I found a picture of a palette full of colors used by the USAF today, maybe this palette can help you with choosing colors for your aircraft. To get the colors, download the image and open it, try using the color selector on for example paint, and find ...

Yes you can. You cal also just delete the coarse file itself, because it won't be used anymore..

Re: Dutch F-16 Demoteam V 1

You don't need to have one, it is a good thing when your planes are of an insane quality, but in your case it is a bit overkill. To get rid of it, just delete the coarse file altogether (from the pack and the .lst file). If you DO want a coarse model anyway, check this.
