Re: New things from Soji

Okay look, I haven't delved into the source fully yet. But it does look to be at the very least a partial release of the YSF Source code - some of the graphics engine and networking side of things. I'll have to take a closer look and see exactly what we're working with here. This could be big. It co...

Re: Joystick or Keyboard?

Mouse!

I often dig out my joystick now-days but for the longest time I flew with a mouse, and you can pull off a damned decent formation with it with a high enough DPI and appropriate settings.

You were exiled? We didn't do that. That's your decision.

And we're not attacking you personally, stop being melodramatic.

Re: Any servers that support Aigaion operations?

We should go to the Ace Combat forums and shitpost YSFlight plane requests there.

Also as if that is not the most hilariously crap drawing I've ever made.

https://www.twitch.tv/videos/346300909 @ 03:45:00 Again, i'll say an absolutely solid performance and a killer inaugural demonstration. Your team ought to be very proud of what you've put on, and you Kujo should be very proud of what you have created. I look forward to next years show. If you get to...

Thing is, the version you might want to stick with would be the latest stable version. That way you don't have to deal with the bugs of past versions.
It is the wide consensus that the new YSF builds have more bugs, not less.

Re: My thoughts on YSFlight.

It's a great suggestion Gunny and I do agree with it in principle. The tangency of what we actually do is another matter to sleep and think on. Gimme a week or so. Suggestions very welcome. I'd love to work with everyone to try and find what's good here.

Re: My thoughts on YSFlight.

A more useful discussion would be about where those people are, a confirmation if there is a reason they are not coming -- or that they are coming but not staying with us and our game. Then the question will become whether or not it is desirable for us to change something. Agreed in full. Expectenc...

Really impressive to see how this team has developed over the years.

Will I be able to watch your portion of the show after it's been and gone? Working a lot right now.

Re: The best and worst flight sim

I agree with Indy, though there has been a lot of new-version bashing (rightly so imo), our focus should not be on the negatives of the newer YS versions but the positives of the old versions. I've been thinking for a while now we should focus on the <= 2011 YSF versions. Not too many people have co...

Re: The best and worst flight sim

The problem with opening source is some people like to run off without purpose with it. But if you have a clear goal and vision, and fork it rather than edit on the master, I don't see much problem. This is precicely why my OpenYS library is open source - just clone from the master and see what you ...

Pat, Please believe me when I saw "We hear you". We have been giving this considerable thought over the past 6 months. Please keep an eye out for an official statement on the matter soon. The candidates and community are motioning for a removal of the election system, and we've had to be quite cauti...
