Yeah sorry about the lack of good food here, since neither me nor Seraphim are around much. I'll fry up some Chinese dumplings at the cafe.

Re: Boeing 777 crashes while landing at SFO

NTSB video footage of the wreckage.
EDIT:

In an earlier post I stated PAPI was not operational, this is INCORRECT. I mis-read the relevant posts on pprune, but actually 28L PAPI was operational during the crash. My apologies.

Re: Boeing 777 crashes while landing at SFO

And from the video you can tell the landing gear were not extended. The video is shot from too far away to be able to determine that. Besides, there is at least one picture of one of the landing gear assembly lying on the runway, which would not be possible if they were retracted - the impact was h...

Re: Boeing 777 crashes while landing at SFO

This eerily reminds me of another 777 crash that occurred at Heathrow in 2008, Speedbird 38. It was doing it's final approach when suddenly both engines failed, and by outstanding crewman-ship and pure luck, they managed to bring the bird down the doomed bird while avoiding a busy highway. Luckily,...

Right now I'm in the middle of a massive update of DIF to have everything upgraded to include transparent prop-shading and canopies, so you'll be looking at something like this: http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z298/tf58/YS_screenshots/Down%20In%20Flames/screen01_zps13627a5c.png http://i189.photob...

Re: Windows & Letters on aircrafts

Also, try adjusting the Z-buffer setting in YSflight, it might help a bit. Option->Config->Open GL and set the Z-Buffer Quality to "Super High". NOT WORKING! Well, I did say it might help a bit . As Cobalt and Gunny suggested, this looks like a case of poorly positioned stencils on the model and is...

Re: Q: True conditions of successfully loading .acp files

Ah forgot about the new sloped-deck feature, as I haven't really looked at the latest versions of YS for a while. The deck file for the HMS Invincible and also the various new bridges has multi-polygons. However it has a new "GF" line at the end of the SRF which I have no idea how it works. I think ...

It's could happen when aircraft pass the borderline between "Runway Area" and "Taxiway Area" in Scenery Editor, if you set gear's position like this: LEFTGEAR -1.21m -1.80m -0.29m #LEFT LANDING GEAR POSITION RIGHGEAR 1.21m -1.80m -0.29m #RIGHT LANDING GEAR POSITION WHELGEAR 0.00m -1.84m 4.56m #WHEE...

Re: Request: Beechcraft 1900D

Yeah, I have thought about stretching my Super KingAir model and turn it into a 1900D. I wanted one in Air Labrador colors as the one time I flew in a 1900D was with that company. Someday... I'm pretty sure it was Air Canada that operated this model, so an Air Canada livery would be an added challen...
