Re: More tools in .ist file?

Those three don't have any instruments in the .ist, only the HUD (for nozzle and trim). VGW has no instruments. Trim is present in the default instrument panel when no .ist is specified, however.

Re: Gunny's Donated Archive

I'm guessing Eric was the one who was managing that. I'll coordinate with the staff and see if we can get it sorted out. It would be good to have an archive so we don't have to keep mooching off Bombcat's installs, but a physical copy would be challenging to pass around due to privacy concerns, and ...

Re: Opening problems

Copy the whole YS install to a new folder on your desktop or something, delete the .exes, and then delete everything in the original location and wherever the Mac equivalent of User>YSFLIGHT.COM is. Then redownload and reinstall, and copy all the addon files back into the new YS version without over...

Re: Opening problems

You'll get other errors like trouble frequency and specular when you go to fly. To fix all of them, open the configs in 2014 and hit OK. This overwrites the config file entirely, so you don't need to manually edit.

Re: Where is 20181124 Linux 32bit ?

Maneuverability is now a function of throttle, because helicopters use the post stall system, and Soji changed post stall maneuverability to be a function of throttle to better simulate thrust-vectoring aircraft like the F-22, but in the process broke helicopters. It can be fixed with a couple lines...

Re: Where is 20181124 Linux 32bit ?

I can't speak for Linux or Mac, but the 2018 Windows version runs a lot more slowly than the 2015 version, all for only a couple graphical changes. 2015 is best for online stuff. Opinions differ for offline, but I'm a fan of 2013 because the helicopters aren't broken like they are in 2015+.

Re: Where is 20181124 Linux 32bit ?

There aren't a whole lot of Linux users here, but honestly the 2018 version isn't really worth it. Very few people actually run it regularly, and all the servers are 2015 or earlier, which is incompatible with the 2018 version.

Re: .dat files

All weapon skins aside from gun and flare can be changed universally by overwriting the correct file in the misc folder, which changes the default skin. To change a weapon skin for a specific aircraft, you can add the WPNSHAPE line to its .dat. At this point there is no way to change the flare shape...

Re: .dat files

Add this to your .dat file:
WPNSHAPE FLR FLYING filepath/to/file/here/flare.srf

Find the filepath of the flare SRF you want, and change the filepath accordingly.

Some of your normals are going the wrong way. Each face of a model is only visible from one side, and the other side is transparent.
