Re: Decaff's Boeing 747-8 Pack

The detail put into these aircraft is astounding.

I'd say more, but I'm drooling so much that if I did there would probably be a minor flash flood.

Reasonably sure that it can only feed one streaming service at a time. One could livestream the youtube livestream to twitch... :P

Those last photos prove that a remake of Top Gun in YS is possible. The flying scenes, anyway. ;)

That's hilarious  . Don't have them both flying in a server at the same time or there might be some sort of rupture in the space-time continuum...

Re: Joe Sutter passes away

Heard about this but there doesn't appear to be any coverage on the news websites I read - first heard it off a friend, actually. I haven't ridden in the 747 yet but I plan to at some point in the future - probably one of my favourite civil aircraft and especially so in the large passenger jet categ...

Re: [SCENERY] Fictional Combat Map Series - #1

A YSFlight simulation of the current Philippines/China scuffle over some islands in Phlippines national waters. The map is based to a degree on the current situation in that region, and I intended it to be a semi-fictional 'what-if' type scenario. There's also a hidden easter egg in the map; but be...

[SCENERY] Fictional Combat Map Series - #1

http://i.imgur.com/tLnGcCT.png This map is a fictional scenario in which a foreign fleet have recently gained control of the previously uninhabited Yawdim Reef in international waters. They also plan to capture the nearby H'guorobracs Shoal, which is inside the waters of another nation. The only th...

Re: Elevation Grid Generator

Anyone done a size/dimension test with ter files? I made an airshow map a few months ago and the main terrain elevation grid was 301 x 328 faces, at about 50 - 60 km length by width. YS handled it alright fps-wise but there appears to be some sort of rendering issue in OpenGL with elevation grids t...

Re: Random questions about anything NEAR and IN the realm of YSFlight

Thanks Pat - just confirmed that a vehicle without offset will go out of its way to follow the path precisely. Another question - do vehicles always move at their max. speed along a motion path? Or is there a way of limiting it, so a fast destroyer and slow tanker can be capped to move at the slow s...

Re: Random questions about anything NEAR and IN the realm of YSFlight

OK, two questions here...

1, how does one place a start position on moving carriers?

And 2, what does the motion path offset feature do?

Thanks in advance.
