Re: Weather In Your Area 2019

Spring has sprung in the southern plains and with it, so have the storms. We had some non-severe storms in the morning, then later this afternoon some severe storms that put down golf ball size hail in the north metro. Lots of people outside on a weekend day caught in the weather, many drivers were ...

Re: Turbofan's SPUN

Thought I'd let you guys see a small project I've been working on at the request of Monoceros for the past 3-4 months. It's a shared airport/airbase. The entire airfield is based on this diagram , adjusted dimension-wise for handling large military bombers and airlifts, and also has parking for comb...

Just for reference to Grigor's post above, that happens on my end also with the 380-800 as well (the 380+). It happens in replays, not when I'm actually flying it. I haven't seen if it happens with this or not yet.

Current trend of releasing pre-mature and updating later attitude is toxic. The current trend of software development is quite deplorable. That's not what I learned. People may call me outdated. But, if releasing a crap pre-mature software is the trend, I proudly stay outdated.

Re: Weather In Your Area 2019

Another day, another freezing something. This time it was freezing drizzle that started very early this morning and continued for much of the day today. It was heavy enough to form a fairly decent layer of ice on cars parked outside. Numerous accidents across the metro this morning (most likely due ...

Re: Weather In Your Area 2019

So we had some light freezing rain and sleet off and on during the day, but lucked out big time. Out west was a band of heavy precip that setup and dumped anywhere from 2-6 inches of sleet and snow. Highs in our area today ranged from the mid-20s to the low 30s. Tomorrow, sunnier and a high around 4...

This one is actually my top favourite from this group (I do like Land Down Under but I like this one better).

ToTD/my two cents: Everyone can learn to code no doubt, but not everyone has the acumen to learn programming. Two completely different things. There is a reason why you have senior software developers after all.

Just like I will never have the acumen to be a physicist or something like that.

Also, it would be nice if the main gear struts were longer to match the length of the struts on the real thing (same goes for the -700 and the -900 for YSFS). Would reduce the chance of a tail strike on takeoff and/or landing ;)

That being said, nice effort and paint job!

Decaff and I flew some long hauls on the YSCAS tonight. I flew from PHTO to RJAA while decaff flew from KLAX and joined me at RJAA. Fun times!
