How to repaint aircraft for Mac

Post by bernholm » Sat Dec 24, 2011 11:34 pm

I have been trying to use YSFS blender for blender 2.47, but when I import a .dnm, it gives me an error window (which I dismiss) but it gives me no aircraft. Am I using the right Blender version? Also, if possible, does anyone know how to use Blender 2.60 to repaint, or does anyone have a converter for .dnm and .blend files?

Currently, there is no version of the scripts for Blender 2.6x
The scripts were only tested with Blender 2.49b which I recommend to use.
Please report me any of the error you get and the output of the ysDiagnose.py script

Thanks, But what do I do with this script?
Also, do you know a good .dnm to . blend (and vice versa) for repainting? I mean, what was used to repaint aircraft BEFORE YSFSBlender came out?

There were no predecessor to YSFSBlender.
Once you have put ysDiagnose.py in the appropriate directory (as if you had installed the scripts), start Blender, then from the "Script" menu, launch System/YS Scripts Diagnostic
If you don't find this entry, it means you didn't put ysDiagnose in the proper directory.

In the folder "scripts"? With the YSFSB files? I don't get it.

I will try, though.

I have an easier way which comes in my mind:
1) Open Blender
2) In Blender, click on the Window selector of the 3D view, and choose the Editor Window.
3) ALT+O to open a file (or Text/Open)
4) Choose ysDiagnose.py
5) Press Alt+P to run the script (or Text/Run Python script)
