Okay then make a ''development team'' get some HQ footage and then edit it together in movie maker with some music.

Not really, I'm just saying that if there is a train and/or car simulator, it will blow "YS" up. Some of you may think that no one will play it, but someone will ALWAYS play it.

I saw this video before I got into YSFlight and thought: "Wow this is a stupid game, I will never play this game. I will kill myself slowly if I ever play this game." But ended up playing it and LOVED it!

I think we should write a sticky about making good videos for YSFlight. Maybe a list of do's and don'ts or something. That way maybe we can prevent videos that are potentially harmful to the growth of the community from being made

perhaps, rather than looking analytically at the benefits of YS, we should describe why we tried it, and what got us excited about it.

Think back, to when you first got it. the joy of having a huge variety of aircraft, all the things you can do.

Remember what it was like when you first got an update of a new version. A-AAMs

The first time a new stock aircraft came out. I mean when the stock gripen, mig-15, typhoon and F-100D came out, I was absolutely thrilled!

nubs, I think you may remember better then the veterans

When i was learning to do stuff (like when i was learning to land) I would say yes! I landed on a narrow runway! (Previously i could only land in the apron in aomori with a fighter) People congratulated me, except there was always one person who would say "Narrow? That's really WIDE for me." or "So? I could do that easily!"

As I may have mentioned before, I'm a furry. :o

On the forum I use there is a section for 'flying furries'. This deals more with real life than simulation. Although I have posted about YSFS there. At the end of last week, I posted about YSFS again, and YSFHQ. I hope this might get more people interested.

What is the point on having a "furry" sub-forum when there is only one or two ACTIVE furry pilots? Its just not justifiable to make a sub-forum for furry people.

There are a few people in the community who can get in contact with me urgently if you need - don't be afraid to ask. I just don't check here as frequently as I used to. Sorry!

Doomsday, I was NOT asking for a sub forum, for furries. I was pointing out that there was one, on a furry forum I use.

Flake, wow, that was a suprise. :o

So... in the end Gimi and Bern are doing the YS trailer? I should PM them. I had some ideas for that.

Maybe the producers could create a multimedia thread for replay snippets to add to the video?

I think what YSflight needs is its own image. What I repeatedly see as for youtube vids, links, downloads etc. is "wannabe fsx." We have to find some way to get YSflight out of the flight simulator rut that Microsoft will always command, and make it seem friendly to the average guy.

Another way to do things is obviously to spread it around to popular locations. I'll do my part by trying to make it known to the minecraft community (in which I have something of a presence.)

That is exactly what we need. I personally can try to get a small-ish airsoft community to know about it.

how about using YS's capacity to the full in a massive event, video it, and then show everyone.

This event will have to be able to show:
-Airliners flying
-Fighter combat
-bomber interception
-Anti ground
-Anti ship
-AAA
-Helicopters going covert.

Hmm, sounds like YS could use a massive war game type event, like having to protect a supply route to keep a city alive.

That is a great idea, our CD could do the supply part.

Actually I was thinking a multi squad and VA event.

I'll make a post about it now.

I know and it should be a multi squad event, just saying that our CD could do it. Didn't say they would be the only ones.
