.DAT files suddenly corrupt?

Post by Argonaut110 » Sat May 19, 2012 2:59 pm

Hi,
recently I got a whole lot of ERROR messages when I start up YSflight. It complains that it can't load the .dats from aircraft and maps i've played before, and I can't understand why it does this, but it's going to be hell trying to de-install them and I was wondering if anybody could help me fix this? :( :(

Well, the problem may be that the author of addons may have missed the DAT file, so it is causing error when starting up YsFlight.

A tutorial to help fix the problem, or create one:

Are you on a mac? If so, change all the ( \ ) to ( / ) in the .lst file. That should let YSF read them all. Aprox 50% of .lst files need fixing. Check out this tutorial/introduction guide.

Also, check out the support section. Should answer a lot of questions.

If these are errors from planes you've already flown, check that you didn't accidentally move or rename a folder.

Look at the error text and follow the filepath and check that all the folders are there and properly named.

Meh, I deleted the files off the .lst. They weren't highly detailed at all and I have other packs of the same aircraft in higher detail. ;)
