Problems loading dnm files linux.

I'm trying to load some various air packs (notably 2ch) on linux. I've fixed all the startup problems with capitalization; however, when I try to select an aircraft in the 2ch pack, I get the follwing error:

Code: Select all

ERROR

Load Error: (Visual):./user/2ch/something
I'm not sure what is causing this, as all the files are capilatized properly.

If I remember correctly from previous threads on a similar topic like this. Don't you need to change the forward slash "/" to a backwards slash in the .lst file?

I'll look at that.

EDIT:

There are no differences in spelling or capitalization.

GAC is a pack that uses links to other files from WITHIN the .dnm itself, to save space. Unfortunately it is very hard to fix the capitalization issues in .dnm-files, because of their size. The only thing I can advise you to do is: 1) Create a FAT32 partition on your hard-drive and run YS from there. This fixes capitalization errors altogether. or 2) Run YS from a FAT32 formatted usb-stick. Trust me, your life will be so much easier. :P

What if I just use grep to find offending paths?

You could, but I think it will take so much time to do that, that it will not be worth it. (I am not good with grep though, if you can do some magic, feel free to.) I'd advise to boot from something like a livecd or usb-linux variant and use a few of your HDD-gigs to add a fat32 partition. I additionally have it mounting to /home/ysflight for convenience.

Sorry for my english. I have same problem. B734 EasyJet, for example. All filenames and .lst records are lowercase, I get load error. When I use same file with same content (I change name of plane only) from repainted model, I get same error too.

I found error in

Code: Select all

SRF "strobe_l"
FIL light_white.srf
CLA 32
NST 0
POS -14.1000 1.0000 -6.9000 0 0 0 1
CNT 0.0000 0.0000 0.0000
REL DEP
NCH 0
END
linux terminal say:

Code: Select all

Cannot read ./LIGHT_WHITE.SRF
Line 65708
On Line 65708 is NST 0

Do You have specification of DNM and SRF format? What is NST...

Solved
Problem is in srf.
convert format from:

Code: Select all

Surf
VER 0.000 0.000 0.060 R
...
FAC
COL 20489
...
to:

Code: Select all

SURF
V 0.000 0.000 0.060 R
...
F
C 20489
...
and include to dnm file.
In L-159 Alca and L-39 Albatros from GAC missing Insignia_Czech.srf.
Delete from dnm file solve problem.

Visual error in Linux. Linux is case sensitive.
Run ysFlight from terminal, select airplane with visual error. In terminal window read filename and rename file.
