DirectYSEvents

Post by Nath » Fri Nov 16, 2012 8:13 pm

This is DirectYsEvents, a new website that shows all of the events that are upcoming in the near future. It shows the links, who is running it and all the info from the topic. (There will be credits though)
Anyway, here it is- http://dyse.weebly.com

This was made to do just that in one centralized location, no need to complicate things. Don't fix what isn't broken. ;)
Time is the best teacher, unfortunately it kills all of it's students.

The US Government isn't broken but it needs fixing.

True. But we need to add more features and promote it on the homepage more.

Please keep your political opinions to yourself on this site. And creating redundant sites to replace on site programs is more counter productive than helpful.

Right, the whole reason I did this was because I thought, that it took too long to get to events in HQ and that if the topic changes they just could go straight to the topic. It is also helpful for people who don't really know how to use the forum because they can go straight to the topic and sign up or have a look and potentially watch it. Therefore it is easier for people to go and look at the events since they don't have to go trailing through topics, they can just go straight to it.

Anyway, I shall take the criticism, and I appreciate you guys actually say something. But I will not take the website down, since that it has taken me too long to make and I've already got around 300-400 views since it was up last weekend.

I actually like it. If it can stay updated and the event planners are involved, it could 1.) look really neat 2.) have very good information and possibly links to topics etc. 3.) easier for less experienced people to use and maybe more inviting. I think the current events tab on ysfhq is great and good to publicize your upcoming event, but only if someone else's isn't in front of yours and it's a little complicated to go through and find events that aren't directly on the calendar.

Thank You VNAF, it's nice to have some positive feedback. I'm going to keep the site running, so there will be a thread where the event organizers can request their events to be on. I'll most probably just advertise them already, but if the organizers don't want it on DYSE, no problem.

Shadow R1 after rereading my post to you I fell I should apologies for coming off like a jerk.I did not mean to be so abrupt or course. But 20 years in the corps its a hard habit to break.Of course its your decision whether you wish to do this or not.And the political comment was not directed to you.Again I apologizes.
