My wishlist has three items:

1. Ejection seats. So we can eject, and then the enemy tries to shoot down your parachute, and you try to land your parachute. I suppose an FPS could be made on the ground but that may be asking for too much. What I would like though constitutes my next request:

2. Ability to change aircraft as well as loadout by pressing the HOME key. And, to integrate with my previous request, if you can walk your player back to base without being killed, allow the player to hop into another plane.
i agree 100% with this post 8-)

1. Weather (Better clouds, rain, snow)
2. Playing as WSO. Hop in a plane of another guy and control the weapons, that would be very interesting in a apache or something. (But there should be a request first and the pilot has to allow it)
3. Laser-guided weapons/more weapons
5. Playing as ground object like the ones in singleplayer, but in multiplayer!
6. Better Physics

I would like to call that hackz.

That is what we all hope. But it must also not be too real until the fun of this sim is taken away.

More interactive navigation (i had a GPS in mind) and a in-game flight planner

I had this idea in mind:

Online CO-OP: So you can have an online co-pilot which can be very useful for bombers with gun, and VA's. If the Captain is going to brb or needs a break, then the co-pilot can take control over the aircraft. To me, it would make multiplayer a bit more interesting, but there are some cons about this idea. For example; if the captain and co-pilot are both using the control at the same time, and people who just troll other pilots.

Also another thing i had in mind was a hydraulics/suspension to the gears, this way it makes the landing less "stiff".

EDIT:

I also forgot to mention, i had this AI Air traffic idea and i think this will be very possible soon. I tried with the old Scenery editor, and added AI aircrafts and tried to make them land. What ended up happening was that the aircrafts just follow the path but doesn't descends. So i found out that there was an option and you get to choose what the aircraft will do(land, fly straight etc) and when i chose the landing option the AI Aircraft just landed. What i would be interested is being able to add AI aircrafts, and also being able to control what the aircraft to do after landing. In conclusion i just think it would be pretty neat to have some AI Air traffic landing and taking off at airports. :D

Agree with this completely. I always feel unsatisfied with my landings because of this. Perhaps a lil smoke when you touch down would also be nice. :D

With all the graphics updating going on, nice looking smoke seems like it wouldn't be too hard to add at this point.

Maybe if we could have smoke in online replays. This would make online airshows awesome again as we could accept formation replays since distance lag still plagues us all.

Oh also how about auto-throttle and altitude bug? It will certainly help the airliners in long haul flights. Also, some damage affect so that e.g. your plane's hit by bullets it's performance deteriorate?

Hell yes.

That has been partly solved by YSPS. But it is still primitive.

I'm not sure if this is a glitch or not but I would like to see speed control implemented for aircraft carriers. Right now, the speed of any ground object with carrier ability is stuck on max speed. This is a big problem when you try to create a simulation in a carrier or switch into one.

1. Disable distance lag(Nobody feedback soji about this?)
2. Air Refueling
3. Master Arm(Too many misfire...)
4. Changing smoke color while flying.

WSO or AC-130 FSO is playable by using Changing Vehicle. I tested at network mode(only host able). Two people have control at one aircraft.

More server controls.

Ability to ban, kill, that sort of thing.

Variable maximum radar distance. This would allow for more realisic civvie navigation and combat. AWACs would have much greater range than fighters or civvie airplanes.

Possibly tie the radar range to the airplane catagory?

I would also love to see a lot more control over carriers. For example have control over visible catapults and towbars. And a smooth good looking jet blast deflector would make my year.

I think it would be neat to have plugins. If Soji built YS to accept plugins that changed the physics, aircraft classes, weapons, perhaps even graphics to a certain extent, basically he could outsource much of the game development as player-made mods, while still retaining control of the sourcecode. Bethesda did that with Skyrim to a certain extent. I have no idea how easy it would be, but it would certainly allow for more interesting and variable gameplay (though servers would be more difficult to regulate if everyone was using different laws of physics).

Yes I agree with this. This would allow players to more suit YSFlight for what players are trying to get out of their YSFlight experience.

It would be nice to have smoother landings, a better radar, and custom type weapons.

It would be cool to implement that feature into hangars. :)

I agree with the plugin idea. Minecraft Bukkit servers do this to great success and Mojang is trying to do the same with Minecraft.

The Ability to go into space/orbit, or atleast some kind of colour change in the sky to note you've gone above 40,000ft. A real damage engine, like IL-2 1946 would be good too, perhaps alittle too much to ask..or not? :D
Signature pic goes here soon. Probably.
