Does anyone know about "Free Memory When Possible" in Network Option - Client?

I know of it. What it actually achieves is a mystery to me.
I am an accountant working full-time (and some). I'm not here as often as I would like to be. Send a message if you need me. I would guess that it dumps any files that sit in your RAM for too long without actually being used. I have no clue it what it actually does, though.
