Engine fire

Post by Ulrik54 » Wed Aug 06, 2014 8:11 pm

I saw a video of a plane crash in YSFlight and it had one of its engines on fire, was wondering how to cause an engine fire or other emergencies in YSFlight?

Ulrick - Welcome to the community!

I'm pretty sure it was a modification as part of an addon because I don't believe we can do engine fires in the stock YS. Can you find the video for us? Then we can figure out where you can obtain it.

In Options > Config > Game Rule you can find the aircraft reliability percentage and trouble frequency, in which you can drag to your custom level, which in turn produces malfunctions in game for the aircraft.

IIRC, one of Major's B-25's has a burning engine. But it just burns forever. ;)

Ulrik54, I saw your comment on my video of the lancaster with an engine fire. Its a modification to the plane so its an animation.
I don't know who you are. I don't know what you want. If you are looking for my signature, I can tell you I don't have one. But what I do have are a very particular lack of skills, skills I have imagined having over a very long career. Skills that make me are completely useless in any situation. If you stop reading now, that'll be the end of it. I will not look for you, I will not pursue you. But if you don't stop reading, I will look for you, I will probably not find you, and I will kill your refrigerator.
