On my mac I can do this by assigning the smoke to the shift->\ key so that it will stay on until i use that key combo to disengage it.

Hmm I can't seem to make it work... Oh well...
Also, I would love a "server lobby" or however you would put it... Like when you do 'Network > Client' you would have your dialog box to connect but also have a built-in chat room so you can talk to everyone from there, if that makes sense.

Oh, you mean the one like in FSX? Would be a nice addition.
My wish is for the ability to have damage for all aircraft. First, there's white smoke, then black smoke, then flames, and then finally the aircraft goes out of control. There's a script for this on the ww3 server but I want it to be in the game itself.

A very cool idea. It would have to be linked to a number of things, and the animations wouldn't always work out for the different size aircraft. Does the current 'Going Down in flames' kil sequence come from the tail of the plane, or the center (0,0,0) of the plane?

The ability to disable radar or decrease/increase its range in the .dat of an aircraft would be handy.

On the servers, you can be the gunner of someone else's airplane. Here's how it would be done:
You type:
/joinuser(username here)
If that user isn't flying or the plane he's flying doesn't have gunner position, it'll just give you an error. If it does, you will automatically spawn as his gunner. If there are more than one gunner spots, more people can join as well.

We all know that this is a fantasy wishlist, but DAAAAAAAAMN.
Also, every person here would agree with me that what YS really needs is A BETTER GUI! Seriously, it looks from the nineties.

To be honest, I don't think we need better graphics. A decent graphics card, a computer that can handle OpenGl, and you've got good graphics considering this game was first released in 1999.

I want YSF just like a RPG. Your job is a pilot and you drive a car to the airport, enter a plane and start working and earn money from that. (just like GTA)

Different missiles/rockets/bombs and all that shit for each aircraft. An F-15 would get american munitions, an Su-25 would get Russian munitions

There is a new thing where you can define droptanks to certain planes. The MSJF pack has this. Perhaps this could be reverse engineered to use the different BNI Heavy Industries weapon skins?

Lol, you can do that to? I'll try poking around and see what I can do and can't do but if it involves having to hack the main.exe...you know what the rules are on that.

It's been a feature of YSF since the start of the year; in the .dat of an aircraft, you can now define the .srf (both whilst stowed and whilst in flight) model for the weapons used on that aircraft.
If you have dropbox, the folder "HQP Contest Pack Assembly" has aircraft by myself and Animal which have custom weapons.
See the .dat explanation thread here as well.

Sweet, just set up all my WW3 aircraft for their own missiles.
Awesome. Just set mine up. All my GAC, HQP, CEP Pack, BNI Pack aircraft have their respective missiles.

I said GUI, not graphics, I mean the interface. It's simple, but it isn't too appealing.

Oh that. You want one with all the buttons in the middle on top of each other and there's a cool background and it isn't tiled?
