A question for our programers.Just wondering if an app or program could be created to emulate variably timed nightfall in ysflight from dusk to full dark?Say about 20 Min.To a half an hour in duration? An add on of course not a hack to the game.And no I have no clue what that would entail that is why I am asking.

It would require a proxy service in between the server and the clients.

I could add the functionality to OYS if you want? Set time day, sleep 20 minutes, set time night, sleep 10 minutes, repeat...

Please note that this would be a switch, not a smooth transition. Day comes on, day goes off.

For enabling transition between day and night the algorithm should be like,

1)Program edits SKY variable in FLD file to change sky colour
2)Program Revives Ground
3)Pause for sometime.
4)Repeat.

But then again such large object will create a lot of lag... And the shadow...

I don't know how open gl works but I think that it shouldn't be too hard too write a couple of lines with a timer and some sky and ground color changes for maybe every 5 min. Like flake pointed out
