It is certainly possible for ships to move online. I am fairly certain that it is not possible for aircraft carriers to move online, however, and the stock Burke and Udaloy destroyers are both configured as aircraft carriers. Any ship which did not have some kind of landable flight deck should have no problems moving.

I'll test that theory.

I checked the carrier's dat, strength 120. i hit with 1000 gun and 100 rockets, nothing. The gun doesn't make a hit cloud when it hits. maybe it doesn't register it as a hit?

What pack is the carrier from? I know some carriers are a pain to kill, and rockets sometimes aren't enough.

Hitting certain areas on a ship does not give out more damage. It will always be consistent.

Their the standard GOP UDALOY CLASS used on 2ch maps. I find that agms can kill them but ONLY agms because of their locking ability. Maybe you have to hit a certain part of the ship? Thats not what the coll file says though

And the hit cloud doesnt show because it's in the ship's hull because of the coll design.

The USS wasp is also not destroyable with rockets or agms, only bombs can do it

There are some ships from 2ch that are nearly impossible to kill. When Eric was running an old WW3 map on his server, I remember the GOP Ivan Rogov class ship could take as many rockets as it wanted. The only way to kill it was by dropping 10+ bombs, which was a pain with all the gunners.

Yeah there is a "min damage" variable. If the rockets aren't stronger then that.... Well...

For WW3 ship hunting there is always one way to kill. Go at high altitude. Go full speed. Dive Bomb drop bombs. Turn away while going low altitude while spamming flares. Huzzuh you've won.

The F-15E is particularly effective in this type of attack on the WW3 server, with it's massive bomb loads and fighter handling. Against the deployed fleet, I generally favor an F/A-18E with AGMs, while against the Wasp and manned ships, I prefer the Hind.

the script on the WW3 server means only bombs can kill a ship i think. 500 pound bombs easily killed the ships (tested using SU-32) but I fired 800 rockets, no kill.

That's odd considering I was able to kill ships with helicopters.
