Art of the Kill - Aerial Combat Guide Video

Post by iqmal_97 »

A 1-hour long video that explains pretty much everything about the facts and tactics that you need to know as a fighter pilot.
Only 19 minutes in and I've discovered all sorts of new terms and analogies that I never knew were taken into consideration by anyone.
Video was originally intended for the legendary Falcon flight sim back in 1995, but it is STILL VALID!
So get your pencils and notebooks ready, cause this vid covers quite a lot of stuff.

Tis god aint it? A great refresher.

Most of us vets studied this years ago, but in "hardcopy" (paper) format.

Had no idea a vid was made.

There are a few people in the community who can get in contact with me urgently if you need - don't be afraid to ask. I just don't check here as frequently as I used to. Sorry!

MMMMOOOOOOORRRRREEEEEE!!!!!!!!
I don't know who you are. I don't know what you want. If you are looking for my signature, I can tell you I don't have one. But what I do have are a very particular lack of skills, skills I have imagined having over a very long career. Skills that make me are completely useless in any situation. If you stop reading now, that'll be the end of it. I will not look for you, I will not pursue you. But if you don't stop reading, I will look for you, I will probably not find you, and I will kill your refrigerator.

eeeeh the physics in YS are too shitty to make most real tactics actually worthwhile. Better off sticking to Raven's guides or mine.

It's Shutter, who is it going to be. He's too lazy to get himself an account of his own.

YES! I used to have Art of the Kill, still have the manual in a box in the shed. The most comprehensive dogfighting sim I have ever played. It included videos, tutorial flights/fights. It taught you geometry, physics, assymetric ACM, wingman tactics you name it. Great manual, I am going to go dig for it.
