Battle For Warsaw Part 2

Post by Phoenix » Fri Feb 24, 2012 11:28 pm

ok guys well here is the idea.

as there is so much enthusiasm, and discussion of other events, I suggest we come up with scenarios now based on the outcomes of the result.

The results can be:
-Overwhelming NATO Victory
-Overwhelming Soviet victory
-Pyrrhic Victory NATO
-Pyrrhic Soviet Victory
-Stalemate

Ill think of some ideas and get them here tomorrow, but if you have any, post away!

No, I will make sure the numbers are even.

But It seems we have 3 top rate flyers here, perhaps the blacklist crew would like to try their experience out in a scenario...

I know.

OK Lets focus on Scenario 1
NATO wins overwhelmingly and Warsaw holds out, however pressure mounts on NATO to take actions end the fighting, which has taken a heavy toll on both sides. As a result NATO comes up with an audacious plan, on a scale never seen before.

Operation Javelin calls for the use of strike fighters to blast a corridor through the soviet forces, from which NATO can begin a ground supply and end the siege.

Simultaneously, an airstrike is sent out to 3 different soviet airfields (Koethen Smolensk and Kolobzheg) with the intent to smash soviet air power in Poland and Eastern Germany, allowing NATO to force peace talks to start.
Requirements:

NATO:
A-10s will blast out the corridor to Warsaw and destroy any anti aircraft facilities they encounter.
Tornadoes and Buccaneers will attack the soviet airfields, destroying the fighters and facilities.

F-15's and F-16s will provide escort.

USSR:
Fighter aircraft situated at the airfields
Manned Ground Forces, including AAA will be working with AI ground forces, to attempt to prevent Javelin from succeeding.

Scenario 2, Overwhelming Soviet Victory, to come out soon

Scenario 2, USSR wins overwhelmingly. However they realize that NATO air power poses a severe threat. To counter this, they devise a plan.

Realizing NATOs Potential striking power, they attack air bases throughout Germany with the intention to smash western air power on the ground.
NATO responds immediately, their fighters caught in a frantic battle against their foe.

True. There's a request for the map in the requests section.

I said I'll deal with this.

Dont worry, it may not be accurate but it will be taken care of.

But as I am running out of time myself (school issues), can I ask you guys to try to think of other alternative scenarios for different outcomes. I wouldnt ask if I could myself.
