We do at least have a Southern California map to start it off with; maybe by
expanding it northward to include the rest of California will be big enough

Here's a thought; How about a huge Generic "Pacific" Map that we can use to
append the other smaller maps to… That would allow the entire Pacific Rim to be
depicted wouldn't it?
