... but, what would you all think about me bringing back YSATC? I'm thinking more of the YSATC from when there were like 5 or 6 active, successful VA's, not the end-of-life YSATC that was like a cranky old man on life support.

Poll is up there.

Also, here's a history lesson for the youngins: http://ysflightsim.wikia.com/wiki/YSATC

Provided it's not all paperwork and beuracracy, and instead more server sessions and the like.. sure.

Just what cillivian YS needs to get going again.
I am an accountant working full-time (and some). I'm not here as often as I would like to be. Send a message if you need me. There are a few people in the community who can get in contact with me urgently if you need - don't be afraid to ask. I just don't check here as frequently as I used to. Sorry!

Yeah, I think what I'd do is basically carry over the ATC and VA stuff... leave out all of the server certifications and that crap.

To add on to this all the over the top bureaucracy is what finally killed it for me and seemingly a lot of people. Not because i disliked the idea itself, i love it and was even partially involved myself, i just personally felt it was at some point getting quite a bit too "srs business" - especially when it started attacking my own VA. Back then and to this day i find it still rather laughable and megalomaniacal.

YS can really use a proper union of ATC enthusiasts that is casual, informal and fun and not as rigid and restrictive as it was. I trust wingzfan to have learned from mistakes that might've been and create something new and actually exciting.

After reading the little article on the wiki and chuckling a bit...

Why was it so serious? Airline certification... what???

Like why not simply have a group of dedicated ATCs take over a server like on weekends only. Wanna fly with atc, then fly on the week ends. No questions asked. Seems simple..

Sorry if im sounding a bit off, behind or general... I skimmed thru this thread while waiting in traffic.
