They're caused by the client not having the aircraft installed... Maybe a list of aircraft installed on the server should be made, and where to find them, so anyone can have the server aircraft installed?

hey guys, Here's an update:
Since I started this topic, i will take action. I plan to turn the Winchester into the Virtual Airline Server or VAS. At the moment I am not sure about 24/7 server, however i will see if i can change the PC settings to allow this or failing that, try and keep it up for as long as possible. The server will host airline specific maps on a regular basis. Say for one week it would be PMNV Hawaii, the next it would be Hawaii to south California etc. I would also allow any controllers who want to carry out text or voice Air Traffic Control on the server. The introduction time for the server is indefinite however it could be as soon as the easter holidays. I did think about the payware idea that was thought of in the previous topic, but then i said whats the point when you can just do it for free? And so thats what i plan to do!

Oh awesome! I will be connecting tonight, but first, may i suggest you creating a thread about the server, to state the rules, but especially to tell where to get maps currently installed. Like now it's Turbot Island... where do i download this?
I've found this by googling : http://drupal.ysfhq.com/addons/scenery/ ... -fictional
But i don't see any download links (may be because i'm at work, and like, everything is blocked here)

EDIT: Ok yea download link was blocked at work. here at home it works fine, got it now!

Yes, i plan on getting a server thread done as soon as i've finished testing the server. At the moment i'm testing if i can keep the server on while my laptop is in sleep mode. If successful it would be a lot better for people in timezones as yours mobiyus and others etc. Once the thread is out ill post links to maps and a timetable showing what maps the sever will be using throughout the months.

I would suggest dropping demoplanes on the server, people tend to like these. Also, will this be a no-weapons server?
