Beginners welcome
As always we welcome new pilots. All we ask is that you read up on the latest ATC manual for proceedures. If you interested in controlling for a future event feel free to PM myself Dan. I'd be more than happy to train you as we always need more controllers here!

My two cents:
Most over-used phrase of 2020: "New normal". Can we stop with that already? Pandemics do not last forever, and things will eventually go back to normal.

Will it be okay to sign up the night of this event? I really don't know what I'm even flying but I'll probably just want to fly what's on mind at the time. Could we just fill out the form and post it here or on teamspeak when we're ready?

As long as you register as early as you can on the night you'll be fine VNAF. We won't be accepting flight bookings during the event due to controller workload. :)

I was thinking about flying a C-5 during the ATC night. Would that be possible?

General aviation aircraft have to book too as all flights for this event must be booked. If you wanted to do a VFR local flight you can by all means state your departure airport and arrival airport as Honolulu for example.

As long as you book your flight it will be acceptable. Please let me know which C-5 you will be using.

Are more vintage and retired aircraft allowed? Or does it have to be realistic?

A full list of packs installed is now available in the Notice to Pilots section. Of course I will be adding to it.

We would like to keep it realistic, though if you really want to fly a particular type of aircraft feel free to PM me and I'll take it for consideration.

Also in regards to bookings, we would prefer it if flight bookings are done in advance so we know who will or may be attending. If you can't book in advance for any reason then booking before the event will be fine as long as it's not last minute.

I'm talking about 1960's passenger jets, not mach 10 fictional ''Concorde-XXX-10290193101'' type things :P

Sure no problem, all I ask is that you book your flight in advance so I know which aircraft you will be using.

And has anyone made a Concorde-XXX-10290193101 for YSFlight yet?
