[CLOSED]New VA alliance - and you get to choose the name!

There will be a new VA alliance in YSFlight, and it will be our first! The founding members will be FAVA, Abel and E-Fair. Now, we have 2 names to choose from. We have Galaxy Alliance and YSVA Alliance. The name with more votes gets to become the name for the new alliance.Pat, you can choose to have NCA join the alliance, use the losing name to start a new alliance or go it alone if you so wish. :lol:EDIT: Now you can choose that really long name if you want.Edit: Votes are closed. Galaxy Alliance won due to runoff votes from USACOYSVAOYSFHQ- United Soveriegn Airline Corparations of YS Virtual Airline on YSflight Headquarter by one vote over YSVA Alliance.

This is probably not the place to suggest this, but I propose that any VA wanting to be part of an alliance be in service for at least six months (1 year is ideal but I may be labeled as a "party pooper" for that). The reason I'm suggesting this is to ensure that any VA either wanting to join an existing alliance or start a new one has shown a reasonable amount of stability and is not just a - excuse the pun - "fly-by" deal.

Also for anyone who is curious, this is exactly how it works in the real world. There is a "proving" or grace period during which airlines have to show that they can be stable members of an alliance. Only after they have shown that, they can join an alliance.

Sorry everyone, please revote. A new option has been added and all your votes were wiped out due to this.

Galaxy Alliance is the best, IMHO, though YSVA Alliance seems to be the most popular for some reason. Maybe some people either don't care or there have been some booze-fuelled votes.

So, here's the final outcome.Galaxy Alliance got 2 votes, YSVA Alliance got 3 votes and USACOYSVAOYSFHQ- United Soveriegn Airline Corparations of YS Virtual Airline on YSflight Headquarter(had to copy and paste that one) got 2 votes. Using the runoff, votes from USACOYSVAOYSFHQ- United Soveriegn Airline Corparations of YS Virtual Airline on YSflight Headquarter were transferred to those for Galaxy Alliance, making Galaxy Alliance the winner.

Seriously? This has got to be the most unfair vote I've ever seen.
"and you get to choose the name!" lol nope you just kinda decided that even if your fav name lost you warped the votes to make it a win.
Move along guys, there's nothing else to see here.

Well, as a compromise, YSVA Alliance will be the name of the cargo division of the alliance!

@YSFan Another post in one minute, you can use the option Edit Post :!:

maybe YSFlight Global Alliance - YSGA

Edit: Support features like fleet and training management. Codeshare flights, and an official website with all airliners members and some special liveries. :P
Could expand the variants of aircraft type (pax-cargo-executive-regional). Do more events (operation will grow) etc

So how does this alliance work? It's sounding less like a codeshare and more like a merger. :|

Whatever the result from this we ain't merging buddy.

Was there a vote on something?

I think the thing that concerns me the most about the idea is that YSFan hasn't been around very long. It's not that I think he's going to run off in the middle of an air show and only pop in every few months and say his computer doesn't work, but I think we should slow down and see how things progress before we jump into something new.
