I think it would be better for you to join other established YS VA's before you start your own so you can gain more experience as well as the necessary know-how to start, maintain and operate a VA, I know some people on YS who spent a year flying as well as serving as staff for other VA's before they start their own VA and not all of them become successful. This is just my opinion though

I don't have any insight to the workings of how to run a VA, but I'd advise you to work on a schematic of your airline's livery if you wish to request a modder to help you (or even doing the modding yourself).

I don't do repaints or mod anymore, but what I did was used Photoshop to paint out a rough schematic for the F-20s.

Then I started painting it in Blender.

A modder would find this to be quite helpful for repaints, and if you're repainting it yourself it will make it easier for you.

Keep in mind that you're asking a modder to spend his/her free time with no monetary compensation (probably) to work on your project, and it would be nice to help him/her out as much as possible.

Best of luck!

Great to see another new VA! When I started Palm Air, I "leased" aircraft from YSBRA (Lu's VA) and waited until enough growth to paint up our own aircraft. I suggest the same to you. It allows for more time to plan out your VA and join alliances and such. Best of luck to Golden YSVA from all of us at Palm Air!

@flyer17 I suggest YSBRA. They are the lessor of 707's, 727's, 737's, 767's, L1011, EMB-121's, and ATR-42's.
