YSFlight Indian Springs AIr Show
Saturday, May 12
9:30AM PST | 11:30AM CST | 12:30PM EST | 1630 Zulu
Join us for an action packed event at Creech Air Force Base as the 2018 YS Indian Springs Open House & Air Show takes place on Saturday, May 12th! Get ready for a virtual event to remember as numerous high powered aerobatic aircraft and modern military airpower demonstrations take to the skies over the deserts of the American west. Skydiving acts and war reenactments are only a fraction of what awaits the eyes of spectators across the YS community only weeks away. All of this and more, headlined by the first ever LIVE performance of the YSFlight Thunderbirds!
REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED! Thank you for all performance registrations!
(Do note that it is recommended for heavy aircraft to use runway 8/26 by taxiing across the lavender outlined taxiway)
Not interested in registering an act or just want to attend as a spectator? No worries! All you have to do is connect to the YSFlight server and join in observer mode. Be sure to have all participating performance addons installed to avoid missing airplane replacements, or “block planes” from being seen. It is recommended that you connect to the TeamSpeak 3 server for on the spot updates, announcements, narration, schedule changes and music as you observe.
If you are unable to connect to the air show server, a YouTube link to the event’s livestream will be provided at a later time before the show on this post.
The event’s server will operate off of YSFlight v20120107 due to the downgrade of viewpoint abilities in 2015 era versions of YS and higher. Versions of the sim from 2011, 2013 - 2014 will also be compatible with the net code version, meaning that you won’t have a problem with net version conflicts! If you have any other additional questions about anything and event wise, feel free to contact me through forum messages (PM) and Facebook Messenger. Hope to see you there!

For what it is worth, Blyatmir is a new profile created replacing a former account with a suppressed name that had 50-100 posts.
Their profile may be new, but the user is not too new.
Only reason I notify is because a new user with only a few posts may not be accepted for an airshow, so I'd like to let you know the facts of the matter.
Welcome back Blyatmir.
I am an accountant working full-time (and some). I'm not here as often as I would like to be. Send a message if you need me. There are a few people in the community who can get in contact with me urgently if you need - don't be afraid to ask. I just don't check here as frequently as I used to. Sorry!

There are only TWO WEEEKS LEFT to sign up your acts before registration opportunities close next Saturday, May 5th! In able to keep the variety alive, we ask that you refrain from signing up performances that involve any high powered jet aircraft as the schedule has been majorly filled with them so far. Thanks!

Every act registration after your Su-30 demo should be. You don't have to change yours out otherwise.
Got the map loaded, but I don't have any way to talk to anyone. Can I still take part if I want to? Also unsure if a 'dongle' will be OK to use for a live show.
Depends on the signal. If you can get a stable connection without a stupidly high ping then you should be alright. As regards to not being able to talk to anyone text chat is normally alright as long as you can here what other people are saying so you know when to spawn etc although you may still be okay with just text for that

Thanks, I know there's not long. So I'll give it a good thinking about. If I decide to take part, I'll be doing a 'free form' glider flight, with my Ask 21. I may have some music, but I don't know how to send that, so whoever is running the show, can put it on, at the right time. Or can I just say the music I want. Then leave them to find it of the net?
Sure thing! However you want to send over music is up to you. Even a list of track names needed for your performance is good enough. I'll be able to retrieve them and play them during the show, and if you feel like sending a .zip file with the music already packed up that'd be great too. Just be sure to have it all ready before the day of the event.
P.S. Good selection of a glider routine. Looking forward to it if you decide to sign it up
