The Buccaneer from 208 Sqn has arrived at El Centro for this weekends air show.

Before landing, they decided to show off with a low level pass.

After this stunt, it was time to land and show.

Once they had landed the crew needed some well earned fresh air, so opened the lid to the buccaneer.

And now time to get those wings up.

And finally parked up and shutting down.

Which plane is that? The Mig-29 from the Russian Knights? I don't recall the ones that I have using wingtip smokers. What pack is that from?

Sukhoi SU-27 Flanker, not MiG. That's the Max Flanker Demo from VNAF Aerobatics.

The Flanker shown above is in fact from the 241st in which I chose the aircraft for the MaxFlanker display souly for the fact that I enjoyed its high performance and extreme capabilities. The aircraft is marked with 241st colors but I used it since they did not use it in several years during any live air show. I plan to perform the next show with my own colors to eliminate any confusion.

Doing air shows in that plane, my demo in particular, I try my hardest not to crash the thing and Scarecrow knows that I have before. Some of the extreme maneuvers I do in that Flanker are usually beyond what it's actually capable of doing. Basically I take it from doing wheelies on a bike to standing the bike and spinning it on the end of a handlebar.

Yeah, it's freaking sweat to fly. I love pulling negative g flips and falling into a flat spin.

I've tried the same thing with an F-15 and no-luck. The thrust vectoring is amazing. Perhaps an F-22 or PAK-50 or su-35 or su-37 would do comparable things...If all else failed, swap the .dat file to make a really nice acrobatic plane. :D
