Took up the Advanced Tiger for some pattern work this afternoon.

Flew the F-20 from Nellis to Creech for some bombing practice, then flew a few touch and go's at Creech before returning to Nellis.

Took up the ol' Viper against a VFC-111 F-5 and F-21 USMC Kfir, and the Tiger was an easy kill. That darn Kfir, though, was a different story. The Kfir kept out-rating me, and I was unable, despite my best efforts, to convert to a radius fight. Eventually, I said "screw it, I can fight slower than him" and went up to 13,000, popped flaps and speedbrakes, and parked it. The Kfir tried to stay on my tail, but not for long. The moral of the story- if you can't stay behind a stalled jet, go anywhere but in front! I had already worn out the F-21's ammo, so it was just me trying to kill him before I ran out of gas.

Speaking of airshow performances, I've been drilling a certain Little Wingman over the last few days on his flying with the classic Strike Eagle demo in preparation for Air Fest. Folks, I can already tell ya that this is gonna be one of the most forceful performances YS aerobatics have seen in a while.
