Say, I'm curious as to how powerful that AI turret is on the aircraft carrier. Since it looks like a CWIS, is it anything like the Gepard's insane firepower?
And is that carrier coming out with the F-35s eventually?

I pulled out the old Scenery Editor for the first time this year. The other night I was flying from Sacramento to the Salton Sea and realized how empty my California map feels. I decided to add Fresno Yosemite International Airport.

I've always been a bit amused at the airport code for the Fresno Airport. "FAT" actually stands for Fresno Air Terminal (the previous name of the airport) but still amusing nonetheless.

Perhaps if you're still bored, Patrick, might i suggest San Bernardino International Airport.

It almost looks as if a gigantic 747-400 is perched in a takeoff attitude on top of one of the skyscrapers in downtown Mandiola as this AF jumbo departs RWY 18R for another trans-Atlantic flight. The MXA ATC tower blends in quite nicely, adding to the skyline of the city. In the background is the CMI Center.

i was flying the NCA AN-255 in the civav server a few minutes ago. i had to keep the nose pitched down -9 degrees just to get it to fly straight without climbing.

Thats reminds me a lot flying the MD-11.Almost the same pitch on cruising.

^I am currently working on the .dat files of the NCA fleet. It's a slower process than I would like mainly due to real-life stuff like work and other things but it's getting there.

Seems like you need that million pound max payload just to weigh it down

Why you not use "Trim Up"/"Trim Down" keys for trim it? It should be a solution for such flight problems!

With some fiddling to the F-35 DAT file I've gotten it to cruise with ~6 AoA to roughly match the real aircraft. Doing this eats up some g and alpha capability below 300 knots down low but I think that is pretty realistic when I look at
P_s diagrams for the F-16 and other aircraft. On the flip side doing this made the transitions between pitch and roll kinda loose. What's life without tradeoffs?
I tested this dat file at 270 IAS at 1,5,10,15,20,25,30,35,40,45 thousand feet and the AoA stayed rock steady!

Has you an ideas on updating your research papers using this info soon?

Had a great time on the CivAv server during the ATC session Turbofan did today.
First flight in a 748F from Riyadh to Kuwait City
Second flight from Dubai to ??? Got lost at Mach 2.2 due to missing VORs on my end, but Turbofan got me landed.
