Up Periscope!

I'd love an U-boat or some sort of submarine. I checked the list and didn't see any.

Isn't the phrase periscope up?

Also, I think that you can not pilot ships as contact with water is a crash.

You guys better practice your searching techniques.Ys has quit a few subs in its history. Ysmajor has a few Japanese,German and US of WWII.
Also a number of packs have modern nuclear subs as well.
And they are classified as aircraft so they function in the game.
Unfortunately submerging is another thing all together ;)

So we can get a drivable or a flyable, but not a submersible submarine.

At least not on a normal scenery for aircraft where the ground is zero elevation + -.
But I am pretty sure there is an underwater scenery in Ys from Japan I think.
Oh and for us yanks the term is Up Periscope or sometime shortened to Up Scope.

Major has a map where he designed the scenery so that you seem to submerge your ship underwater and you can drive and attack other submarines. It's called the Okawa scenery http://www.yspilots.com/yspf/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=1166. I believe it's the only one that lets you drive (fly) underwater. Major's pack includes a japanese and us sub as seen in the pictures. Also check the 2ch site for more submarines as I believe there are some modern ones there.
