Yak-52 being the Russian trainer, CJ-6 being a very close look-a-like (few cosmetic differences).
Please?

+1.
Someone help the man out.

I am an accountant working full-time (and some). I'm not here as often as I would like to be. Send a message if you need me. There are a few people in the community who can get in contact with me urgently if you need - don't be afraid to ask. I just don't check here as frequently as I used to. Sorry!

This'd be pretty sweet. Surprised we haven't already got one if I'm honest.

I was temped by the thought. But Im not the best at scratch building. +4 from me!
I don't know who you are. I don't know what you want. If you are looking for my signature, I can tell you I don't have one. But what I do have are a very particular lack of skills, skills I have imagined having over a very long career. Skills that make me are completely useless in any situation. If you stop reading now, that'll be the end of it. I will not look for you, I will not pursue you. But if you don't stop reading, I will look for you, I will probably not find you, and I will kill your refrigerator.

Not being a dick, but wouldn't it be better to start with a blank model? So everyone else can take a crack at it?

Made the Trumpeter 1:48 model... but its plastic. Not much help in the virtual skies.
Anyway, I'd love to help as I like the plane a lot.
I'm searching for existing models now.
If you guys have a mesh in 3ds, obj, or something blender I can take over from there, as I'm not that good with scratch modeling.
(Though I could look at similarities in Yak-18, especially the wing. Fuselage is pretty straightforward with the CJ-6.)
Feel free to PM if you got something to share.

I've never seen one for YS. Doesn't mean there isn't, though. Figured I'd come across it by now.

Anybody got the alphasim Yak 52?
There is no CJ-6 for any flight sim anywhere at the moment. Looked on the chinese sites too.
To mod my Yak-18 into one is actually a bit of work (have started the front) and will take some time.
Still need to find a good 3-view of the differences between the Yak and the Nanchang.
Tail is obvious, and the gear, but the wings are a bit different too. Apparently the CJ-6 is faster.
I cant convert sketchup (yet), but if someone can make it into a blender file I can work with it from there.
